喜欢: A lovely site. Spacious pitches and level. Plenty of room for kids to play. Wash up was a covered area and plenty of bins. Toilet block was clean with plenty of loo roll and kitchen roll. Didn’t use showers but they also looked clean. The toilets were unisex but had individual cubicles with a sink in as well which I thought was a plus. It’s not far to drive to Bedale or Ripon. Site itself was lovely and quiet and that was on a bank holiday weekend. The pitches looked like they were all taken but it was still nice & peaceful.

喜欢: Quiet but some lovely views and plenty to visit within 10minutes drive. Visited Fountains Abbey and had a brilliant full day. The site is basic but has everything we needed and not overcrowded. Clean and ample toilets, shower block, dish washing and waste area. Paul the camp owner is a lovely bloke and very knowledgeable of the area.

喜欢: The site is approx 2 acres and was very quiet. (Only ones there) . Showers and toilets were basic but very functional and super clean. Surprised ti find there was giod wifi. Surrounded by countryside and great views. Out dog loved her walks across the farmland. Paul(the owner) was very friendly and informative. He even came to say goodbye on the day we left. If you want a quiet getaway, then this is for you

喜欢: Howgate Hall is a tranquil, beautiful place. It is clean with wash facilities, toilets and hot showers. MY grandson loves the large field to play freely and safely. Staff are friendly. We thoughily enjoyed our stay so booked to go again within a week.

Howgrave Hall is between Bedale to the north and Ripon to the south, both within 20 minutes’ drive of the farm. Like many towns in this part of Yorkshire, Bedale’s a fine shopping town for local produce and specialities of all sorts: market days are on Tuesdays and the Bedale car boot sale is held every Saturday from April to October. Access the Wensleydale Railway at Bedale too, on its 22-mile puff between Leeming Bar and Redmire. Heading south, Ripon is most famed for its cathedral, founded in the city in the seventh century, and for Ripon Racecourse, on a site where jockeys have raced since the early 18th century. A 10-minute drive out of town just inside the Yorkshire Dales National Park, is the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site of Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Park, a must-see if you’re anywhere in the region. Even the kids should/might be impressed by Ripon and its surrounds; if not, zip speedily back up north for a day at Lightwater Valley Theme Park (15 minutes' drive), home of Europe’s longest rollercoaster.
