In need of scenic holidays, with a market town just down the road and hills and beaches within easy reach… and some excellent eats to hand right on site? Get yourselves along to The Mile Caravan Park, less than five minutes’ drive from Pocklington in East Yorkshire. This scenic spot is half an hour’s drive from York and within an hour of the seaside towns and beaches of Bridlington and Scarborough; closer to home, hiking and walking trails through the Yorkshire Wolds are five minutes by car. A riding club is 10 minutes away if peaceful horseback ambles fit the mood, and there’s a gliding club in the village when you want to see East Yorkshire from the air. But what of the facilities on site? There are wetrooms – accessed by a ramp – including one for mobility-impaired guests (please ask for the key). The facilities are cleaned every afternoon, when the toilets next door stay open for use. An undercover washing-up area takes care of the chores, and any barbecue remains can be safely deposited in the steel ashes bin. The site is wonderfully dog friendly, with a canine exercise field open from 8 am to 8 pm, and the Pock Paws secure dog exercise area with agility equipment for hire in 30-minute or hourly slots. But don’t forget that this is your holiday too, so make some time for lazy days on site… And don’t miss out on the culinary treats in Smile Café; notice boards advertise the latest menus.

喜欢 Nice welcome on arrival, lovely little cafe and easy walking distance into Pocklington. Pitch can be selected on arrival.toilets and showers nice and warm and clean as is the dishwashing area. They had a dog show and a motorbike morning on whilst we were there.Easy access into site with our 8m moho and ample sized pitch

Great dog exercise enclosure for a run .
Not far from pocklington so could either walk or drive .

不喜欢 Toilets and separate showers we fine only niggle was that toilet block was unisex and I felt very uneasy using the toilets .

喜欢 A lovely site. Well run, well cared for, and with great bathrooms. Pocklington is a very nice town with lots of places to eat and drink. Of special mention was the Sunday roast in The Station Pub which was both quality AND quality.
A site well worth visiting.

喜欢 Great scenic location, great spacious park with great big, clean, individual bathrooms.
The park is a short walk or drive to the local pubs and shops, and there’s onsite cafe offering great quality, locally sourced food.
Will definitely stay here again.

If long-distance routes like the Way of the Roses, the Minster Way and the Yorkshire Wolds Way are a tad too tough, there are easier wanders closer to the site. Follow the footpath that passes the site as far as Pocklington Wood (a 20-minute walk or five-minute drive) for a circular route that’s well suited to walkers, or get behind the wheel for the 10-minute trip to Millington Woods and Millington Pastures. Further slow-paced activity can be found with a day’s fishing at Conifer Lake or Allerthorpe Lakes, while those in search of something a little more energetic can stick to Allerthorpe for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, sailing and paddleboarding, and some time splashing around the inflatables in the aquapark. History buffs might get their adrenaline in a different way… Trips to the Yorkshire Air Museum and Eden Camp give an insight into life during the world wars; after that, make a stop at the deserted medieval village of Wharram Percy. Craving an urban day out? The museums, ghost tours, breweries and shops of York are half an hour away, and Hull’s aquarium, Old Town and Arctic Corsair museum are 40 minutes from home base.
