Phillips Farm

喜欢: Well appointed, basic campsite- toilets and facilities kept in very good order. Plenty of space, good level ground and free choice of pitch- very peaceful with fantastic views and plenty of wildlife to watch. Very thoughtful (paid) firewood provision with free use of firepit, option to bring own firewood is refreshing. Home made chutney for sale is recommended, they also have their own eggs and honey for sale.

喜欢: Our stay at Phillips farm was Amazing!! On arrival we were told to pick any spot on the field / forest area where there was short grass and pitch up our tents. We forgot our fire pit and within 5 minutes they had brought over a fire pit for us to use free of charge. The loos and washing up station were very clean and we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend, 10 out of 10!!

喜欢: Friendly owner, large clean pitch, pretty much had the field to ourselves which was nice and peaceful. Only noise we could hear at night was the rain.

不喜欢: Nothing about the site itself. They are very clear what they have and don’t have on their site on pitch up. Just wanted to make other people aware who may like a long walk that some of the walking routes shown on OS maps we went on around the area were not very clear with signage, overgrown with bramble and thorns or maybe don’t exist anymore so we had to detour maybe once near a farm but we plodded on anyway with our dog.

喜欢: Exactly what I needed. A peaceful, relaxed and quiet moment of reflection. Lovely owners, super sweet, made me feel safe and sound. The pub is actually a 35 min walk and a bit dark on the way back. I would suggest stocking up on your way and enjoying the peace of the farm. Loved the lack of check out time. If I hadn’t had to get home I would have stayed longer just sitting…going into my journal for future visits! Ah yes i did see the planes, it really is quite exciting. They didn’t start until about 10am
