Coast or country? Deciding between the two for a hol is quite often a quandary, but with Wantisden Park both types of lovely landscapes are within easy reach. Set on a private estate, this East Anglian glamping site in the lush Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is around a 15-minute drive from the sea. It overlooks ancient oak woodland and lakes home to countless plants and wildlife – including wild deer – so it’s a top base for holidaymakers keen on roaming the countryside. As well as wandering around the estate, guests at this site might like to partake in walks through the surrounding forestry. Plenty of pretty villages are also nearby: Orford, famed for its smokehouse, Norman castle and quay overlooking the banks of the River Ore (with boat rides available), is 15 minutes’ drive away, and the seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Thorpeness, with their sweeping sandy beaches 25 and 30 minutes respectively. On site, there is a small shop where you can pick up essentials, complete with a seating area with wifi. This park’s amenities also include a refurbished shower block with changing rooms and laundry facilities.

Wooden Tent 露营舱

喜欢 The accommodation was quite basic but perfect for my needs and including a comfortable bed, heating and a kettle, crockery and cutlery etc. I also appreciated the other nice facilities, with a nearby kitchen and toilets and showers and all really well presented and spotlessly clean. The staff member I met was very friendly and welcoming :)

不喜欢 No dislikes as such, but it would have been great if tea bags and coffee and sugar were provided.

喜欢 Big pitches and lots of choice , beautiful quiet location, showers were big and very clean and nice cafe , had a lovely warm welcome from both hosts , lots of great cycling straight off the site and a pub within walking distance ! Only stayed one night but look forward to returning soon for longer

喜欢 wonderful place to stay, to feel nature and holidays, nice people running this campsite with a lot of love and good ideas to feel well. Best facilities we had during our 3 weeklong trip in England. Hiking possible in forests. there is a café and wifi !

喜欢 It was a pleasure vitisiting Wantisden Park, was really pleasantly welcomed by the owner Ross who explained everything clearly and was very friendly to me when visiting wich was so good from him .
Specially coming back when am in the area had a wonderful time and i can recommend this place to everyone 10/10 from me .
Keep up the good work, was honoured to have been there and slept like a baby was so peaceful

喜欢 Beautiful spacious pitches shaded by trees that felt private and peaceful. Wonderful facilities- showers, bathrooms and a washing up shed as well as a cafe for breakfast. The hosts were super welcoming! Can't wait to stay again

喜欢 Wonderful , peaceful site on the edge of a forest / woodland with beautiful walk to an ancient Oakwood. The site has very clean showers and a useful utility hut with washing machine and a couple of fridges , kettle and microwave. The managers are super friendly and helpful . It really is a beautiful spot to relax and unwind with loads of great things to do in the area.

Bluebell 露营舱

喜欢 Beautiful quiet site, well mantained. Our pod was spacious & very well equiped. Had everything we needed to self cater & the welcome pack was much apprecaited.

Owners were very helpful. We rang them to purchase more wood for our hot tub & with in minutes it was delivered.

Cant wait to return. Perfect place to kick back & relax.

One of the most sought-after sightseeing options in the Suffolk Coast and Heaths area is the Sutton Hoo archaeological site near Woodbridge (15 minutes’ drive) with its two 6th- and early 7th-century cemeteries. One was home to a ship burial where a multitude of Anglo-Saxon artefacts were uncovered, many of which were sent over to the British Museum in London due to their top cultural significance. Learn about the discovery, then potter over to the riverside setting of Snape Maltings (15 minutes) for more history in a village that's home to industrial buildings dating back to the Victorian era as well as modern galleries and boutiques. Woodbridge, a market town 20 minutes away, is also an excellent choice if you fancy shopping for souvenirs. For town times by the sea, Aldeburgh (25 minutes) is a pretty place set by a shingle beach on the North Sea; set off on a wander here towards the Martello Tower, built as a defence against Napoleon, then head over to the hamlet of Thorpeness (30 minutes from the site and a couple of miles from Aldeburgh) for a bit of boating on the mere.
