Sutton Hoo Holidays Campsite

喜欢 Small site with plenty of space to play. Decent playground in the middle, and some nice walks. Sutton Hoo burial site is just down the road with loads of activites through the summer.
WiFi happily ran Netflix on a rainy evening.

喜欢 Right at the entrance to the Sutton Hoo estate.
Bus stop close by, for easy access to Woodbridge & Melton.
Very large fully serviced pitches with EH, water & drainage.
Sandy grass, so drains well & stays mud free.
Good wifi around site.
Easy going site without lots of restrictions & extra charges.
Hot showers (push button type).
Pricacy hedges planted between pitches.

喜欢 The size of the pitch and the self contained feel to the pitch with its own water and electricity.

不喜欢 No one about, very basic ‘ campsite’ feel. Very small. Shower block unwelcoming.

I am sorry that our campsite wasn't to your liking, most people do like the fact that it is small. I did email you to say we were away and that my daughter was in charge if you needed anything, but perhaps you missed that email. I am glad you liked the large pitches with full facilities and not sure why you found the shower block unwelcoming as you haven't stated a reason. If you do decide to visit Sutton Hoo again, I hope we get to meet so I can make you feel more welcoming. Best Wishes, Helen

喜欢 Out if the way location, good setup with all pitches set around the plot.
Good sports field. Nice little wooded area.
Play area for kids
Ample plots for tents, motor homes etc.

不喜欢 Some heavy traffic through day from main road

喜欢 Lovely quiet level site with a nice dog walk- liked the fully serviced pitch and the short grass. Nice to have the pitches with a hedge between as it gives a little more privacy.

不喜欢 Lots of flies flying in to the caravan
-maybe the proximity to the farm field adjacent to the site.

喜欢 This was a lovely setting . The pitch we had was a good size, level and there were lots of woodland trees behind us giving a very countryside feel. The showers were hot and had a good pressure. There was a small hut near the entrance to the site with a freezer, socket for charging mobile phones and an electric kettle - ideal if you aren't on electric hook up. There was also some information about the local area. We were roadside and there was a bit of traffic noise but nothing that disturbed our sleep.
The owners were very helpful and replied to my emails very quickly.

喜欢 Used to pitch tent for first time last minute booking. Arrived and sign on board showed allocated pitch. Easy to get to site, toilets were clean and pitches good size.

不喜欢 Road side pitches picked up noise particularly in morning from a relatively busy road. Not a huge issue though.

喜欢 Quite, well maintained, good sized pitch with hedges either side for a little extra privacy, with drinking water as well electric hook up, toilets and showers clean and well maintained, information board on which pitch was who’s, Melton was less than 20 minutes walk, catch a train to Woodbridge every hour or for more adventurous there is a path that you can walk, site owners are warm and welcoming and if on site will come and greet you and answer any questions you may have.

不喜欢 Lots of flys but it is a working farm so not unexpected

喜欢 We especially liked the location of the site in relation to our visit to Sutton Hoo
The site was informal and relaxed, and the pictures were of a good size
The facilities were good and modern
The cost of staying there was excellent
We will return to Sutton Hoo again and would stay there
I would also investigate what local facilities there are near there to try to stay longer
We normally stay on membership type sites but this reminder does very much so of when we first started camping sat outside your tent listening to kids play and families talking all very convivial

不喜欢 A tiny bit of road noise, but we were at the back of the field
