Fishing in East Anglia should sound pretty excellent to serious angling types. There are plenty of opportunities for various angling antics at Narborough Fisheries, which has touring pitches on a private 16-acre site with a handful of fishing lakes flowing with chalk stream water from the river Nar. Narborough Fisheries has five lakes available to guests: mixed coarse lake Foresters; match and coarse lake Ashford; carp coarse lake Meadow; specimen carp lake Millers (37-pounders were landed here in 2024); and the well-stocked trout lake Willow. Just remember to bring your Environment Agency rod licence before you get started. The pitches are all set along two of the lakes, with gorgeous lakeside views. There is a shower and toilet block with accessible facilities, as well as a small, well-stocked tackle shop selling a selection of hot and cold drinks, confectionery and other snacks should you need some extra energy to power you through an afternoon of fishing. Away from the rod, you might want to take a day trip to the market town of King's Lynn (20 minutes' drive away) to nose around some shops. There is also a bus from Narborough village that takes a little over an hour to reach Norwich for a day among its Lanes and historic market.

喜欢: Well maintained hard standing pitches with grass, the on site staff are very nice ( Tim & Karen) who are very helpful. Tim’s knowledge about the fishing lakes is extensive
There is a bus stop an easy 10min stroll with buses every half hour to kings Lyn/ Norwich & surrounding towns . Would definitely recommend.

喜欢: Lovely site with beautiful lakes. My partner enjoyed the fishing and I enjoyed the walks, wildlife, and peace and quiet. Excellent loos and showers, too!

喜欢: Nice warm welcome, our pitch was no7, across from one of the lakes so a nice view. Our small van is fairly basic so a 5mn hook up. We both used the toilet block which was very clean and the showers. I was worried about the shower since there is only one per set , but we were still early in the season and I went in when I wanted. It was nice and hot (you can't control the temperature) powerful and very clean. So thank you

喜欢: Great fishing and ease of parking on pitch. Nice site. Fishing Shop on site.

不喜欢: Toilet/Showers in need of renovation. No TV signal. Wifi slow. Water/Elsan Points limited. Pitches by lake are very tight to reverse tourers into...unless you want to drive into the lake. Excessive Goose Poo so don't tread into tourer. New owners investing in site with more pitches away from the lakes which will accommodate larger Tourers and Auto homes.

喜欢: pitch was ok , toilets and showers were ok

不喜欢: fishing pegs were in a terrible state on my arrival due to low water level , 7 pegs were unfishable due to collapse or unsafe to fish , water level was down a lot , BUT , all in all I did manage to get on the bank side to catch a few carp, roach,
Owners did say maintenance to the fishing pegs was in hand and underway to be fixed ......will happily return for future visits .........I love the place

喜欢: Fishing ponds well stocked, some nice carp & F1's in mixed pond , Specimen pond quite weedy & shallow, well stocked tackle shop but no live baits (although Pellets, boilies fine for these ponds)
Well worth a visit.

不喜欢: Only has single shower cubicle in men's showers (although facilities are clean and tidy)

当地景点

Fishing, fishing, nature reserves, the north Norfolk coastline and watery sports: what a lot of activities there are to catch in this part of East Anglia. Look at as many as possible of the Norwich 12 (55 minutes' drive), the city's historic buildings, as can possibly be fitted in on a day trip. (If you only have time for a couple, the obvious two are Norman Norwich Castle, which includes the Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery, and Norwich Cathedral with its rather splendid large cloisters.) Going west, pick the cathedral city of Peterborough (an hour and five minutes) for another day trip: alongside its 12th-century cathedral, another good idea is to potter among the quarter of a million or so exhibits of the Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery. There are watersports on the lakes at Nene Park (an hour and 10 minutes). Perhaps a puff on the Nene Valley Railway between Peterborough Nene Valley and Yarwell Junction too? Or a night out at the Key Theatre, where shows of all sorts run all year. There is plenty of wildlife and sumptuous scenery in the area, so next up might be a trip to the nearest nature reserve, the Norfolk Wildlife Trust's chalk grassland of the Ringstead Downs (35 minutes) or a wildlife-spotting float around the Norfolk Broads, easily accessible from Norwich.
