Beach days a biggie for your holiday? You’ll be in the right place here, as Happisburgh beach (five minutes’ drive) and Sea Palling beach (15 minutes) are both a short drive away. They’re both sandy, by the way, so you might want to get your buckets and spades at the ready. Cromer (half an hour) is another for the fans of the seaside… this place has a beach too, but you might also find yourself crabbing off the pier or taking a trip to the theatre. Kids will likely enjoy this place, and the same can be said for the treehouse-themed playgrounds at BeWILDerwood Norfolk (15 minutes). Watersports aren't just a thing of the seaside, either: around The Broads (25 minutes) it’s all hands on deck, literally, for boating, canoeing and other watersports. After all that water, you may like to spend some time on dry land, and there’s a load of it around the parklands at the National Trust’s 17th-century Felbrigg Hall, Gardens & Estate (half an hour), a traditional English country house with walking trails.
