喜欢: Excellent site with a friendly informative warden. Mike was always making sure you were all ok with your stay. The site is a fishery with many lakes and is open to the general public and to people using the site. We don’t fish so we didn’t use this facility. It also has a cafe which serves breakfast and snacks along with alcohol too. We had a few drinks sat out by one of the smaller lakes. Great friendly staff and reasonable prices. There is also a small animal holding on the site with alpacas, ponies, pigs, goats, hens and a reindeer. Nice for the kids and adults who like animals. There is also a small park for the kids. We did a local 5 mile walk which was kindly printed off for us by Mike the warden. We ended our walk at the local pub which was lovely and reasonably priced too. The wash facilities were clean however I noticed on reviews complaints about the showers not staying on for long when you pushed the button. I never had a problem in the ladies and mine stayed on both times for a long period. However the gents didn’t stay on at all and my partner was constantly pushing the button. Maybe a fault. We didn’t have the chance to inform Mike about this problem. There is Wi-Fi but only in the cafe. You can’t get it at the pitches. Also our phone signal was limited. We didn’t mind as we were on holiday. Apart from that we really enjoyed our stay and would return.

喜欢: Location and animals, surrounded by countryside and not too far if you fancy a stroll to the nearest pub. Warden was very helpful. Pitches were not overcrowded. Site was clean and tidy.

不喜欢: Grass surrounding pitch was quite boggy on arrival but this was immediately rectified with placing down temporary plastic walkways.

喜欢: great little site. Mike was very helpful and told us what we needed to know.

不喜欢: The showers were the only thing i could say was no good only stayed on for 20 seconds.

喜欢: Pleasant campsite next to the lakes. Clean facilities which were well kept by the warden.

不喜欢: Was a bit of a smell from the toilet block which the warden was aware of.

喜欢: Friendly welcome. Lots of walks straight from site. Cafe on site. Animals to see. One mile walk from lovely pub. The warden was a friendly gentleman who was often seen walking around the site checking in and chatting with campers. Lovely clean toilet etc facilities.

不喜欢: Nothing that I can think of.

喜欢: Great friendly welcome, spotless amenities, quiet, large pitch space and chilled vibe. paths around the lakes and to local pub. Onsite warden for piece of mind. Nice having the wildlife close by. Will definitely return. Hopefully this weekend

喜欢: Lovely place to stay with the animals, fishing lakes and play park there was lots to do for our toddler. Breakfast in the mayfly was lovely, and our dog enjoyed the doggy breakfast too. Very clean facilities and Mike was so helpful towards us during our stay and so friendly made us feel so welcome.

不喜欢: You can hear the main road that goes past the campsite in the night

喜欢: Lovely location/pitch, view of the lakes, walks from site, clean facilities and hospitable staff. Michael, the Warden went out of his way to make sure our stay was perfect.
