Wenlock Edge Caravan and Camping

喜欢 Just had two nights at Wenlock Edge camp site in our motorhome, we were greeted on arrival by Grant , who gave us the run down of the site and The walk into town, ( lovely town) he was very good and accommodating.
Very nice site and you can see the effort the owners have put in , the toilets/shower block are as good as we have seen , and we are away most weekends,
Great views from the site ,good size pitches and a easy walk into town , we will definitely return very soon .

喜欢 This is a lovely spacious campsite with amazing views. Apart from a bit of road noise the site itself is really peaceful. The toilets and showers were well kept and had plenty of hand-wash and toilet roll. The little kitchen with a kettle was a convenient touch. The campsite was also spacious with lots of room for kids to run around safely. All in all a lovely campsite. I would come back but only if I stayed in a caravan.

不喜欢 Only a slight criticism, the site is not level at all so staying in a tent is not the most comfortable but I assume if your in a caravan it would be ok.

喜欢 Great site just a stones throw from Much Wenlock. Grant welcomed us on to the site and we loved how peaceful it was. We had a shaded pitch with EHU, great considering we went during a heatwave. The toilet and shower block was lovely. We would definitely return.

喜欢 Lovely site with great bonus extras, the small kitchen area provided a microwave, kettle, tea, coffee and the utility room had a washer and dryer. Very chatty and friendly man assisting as well as offering local info. It felt very safe allowing children Independence to play.

不喜欢 Unfortunately the site is on a very sloping hill, in a tent there was no chance for a sleep without falling out of bed! Caravans must bring stabilising blocks.
The kids area needed a mow as very overgrown, broken toys scattered and broken swing rope. Unfortunately it snapped with a child on it. New rope was requested but not installed i believe due to owner not being there.
Cleaning equipment should also be provided withing the ladies/gents/washing up area, this could help people clean up after themselves. And possibly a more thorough clean daily would help.

Mown pitches.

Closeness to much wenlock.

Laundry room free use.

不喜欢 Lack of squeegee mops in both shower rooms and laundry room.
Tall trees on tight bend require trim back to prevent scratches on caravans.

喜欢 An excellent and affordable getaway. Though the field is slightly inclined, we were able to find suitably flat areas for our tents. The campsite manager was friendly and eager for our stay to be great. Small additions like a kettle and fridge made this trip extra special.
The view of the stars at night was really special and the tranquility of the evening in nature is exactly what you want from a camping holiday.
The walk to much wenlock is short and well connected to the campsite. Much wenlock had some great pubs and shops but lacked a reasonably price convenience store.

喜欢 Lovely site well kept, super friendly site manager, we had a sheltered side pitch ideal for my dog

Foot path from site linking to Shropshire way and down into the town

Lovely new facilities block

不喜欢 Showers quickly hit ditched , could do with something for campers to push the water to the drain

The showers didn’t hold temperature, freezing then hot perhaps not on the best setting , maybe add some instructions for campers on how best to set them

喜欢 Location was great, facilities were good. Staff were attentive and present. Liked the relaxed atmosphere and that dogs were welcome

不喜欢 A bit of a slope on the pitch and the showers were a bit hot and cold at busy times. But that is true almost everywhere!
