Far from busy roads and smoggy city streets, Fishill Farm is a peaceful place to pitch up in the Oxfordshire countryside, roughly a mile to the north of the village of North Leigh. With a no-frills approach to camping, this pop-up site is set on a family-run farm, so you can look forward to spotting farm animals, wildlife and exploring footpaths in the nearby Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With flat and level pitches set in a mown grass field, amenities here include rubbish bins, portable toilet facilities and running water. Feel free to bring your horse or pony too (extra fees apply), as this site is well-placed for cantering along nearby bridleways. Unfortunately, Fishill Farm is unable to accept dogs, however. While Barbecues are allowed at Fishill Farm, it's easy to get down into the village centre for an evening out, where there are two pubs and two restaurants for a range of cuisines and budgets. Witney (10 minutes) is the nearest market town and is home to supermarkets, larger shops, cafés and other amenities.
