What a whopper of a site. Award-winning activity and fishing centre Billing Aquadrome is a couple of miles from Great Billing in Northamptonshire and set over 235 acres of green parkland and lakes. With so much to do around its grounds, it's likely that you'll want to stay put here for your entire trip… and if you do desire to speed off somewhere, Silverstone is only half an hour's drive away. The site is set an aquadrome surrounded by water, so it has fishing lakes of varying sizes and depths where avid anglers can cast off for carp and common mirror carp, catfish, pike, roach, bream, tench and rudd. Bring along your own fishing kit and an up-to-date licence, and buy a fishing ticket from the team if you want to try your luck. Away from the water, the many other facilities include bars and restaurants (yes, plural, plus a beer garden). Just take note that the bar, beer garden and restaurant are all adults-only from 10pm. And speaking of the essentials... there are takeaways, a supermarket and shops right on site too, as well as picnic areas, Sky Sports and – if you need your barnet tamed after all that activity – a hairdresser's.

Bookings may only be discussed with the individual whose name the booking refers to. Children under the age of 18 are not allowed in the bars and restaurants after 10pm. Only working dogs are allowed in the bars and restaurants.

喜欢: The site is beautiful. The swimming pool is great. Site is currently being renovated so cannot give full review. The prices of the pitch were great. We will be going back as long as the pitch price remains.

不喜欢: A number of toilet doors don’t lock and the shower got so hot at one point I nearly burned, but it was solved by giving it break. The food was really expensive.

喜欢: Plenty of space, beautiful modern venue with fantastic fish and chips with a view of the marina. Plenty of activities. On site convenience store with a large selection Didn’t pay much for the pitch at only £16 for my campervan, if this will be the price year round then definitely worth every penny. Looks like the place is going through a major overhaul so will definitely have to return.

不喜欢: No where to safely place your stuff within the shower blocks to avoid things getting wet in the shower

喜欢: Great👍 location, nice and clean. Good housekeeping.

不喜欢: No fire 🔥 pit on such a great spot. Very few BBQ grill for the visitors - to cook.

喜欢: Has been updated by the new owners , so much nicer and cleaner then before. Looks like it's going to be even better in the summer with the new activities there putting in place.

不喜欢: Lack of toilet rolls in camping area 2 , all morning they never had any in at all

喜欢: Outdoor cinema was great and play area we only stayed one night so didn’t get to use to much but we will be back in the summer

不喜欢: Nothing really everything was fine maybe the only issue was the new toilets in the morninf had no loo roll in any toilet but not a major issue

喜欢: Absolutely fantastic place to stay for our first time camping with our tent box. We loved that we were able to pitch up anywhere. The park had live music playing which was fab too. The area was lovely with amenities close by and on site. Defo worth the stay and we will be paying another visit in the future for sure. Also the showers and toilet block looked new and were very clean.

You may opt to stay on site for your full holiday, but if you're up for exploring the local area, there's plenty to see and do to keep you entertained. The aquadrome is half an hour's drive from Silverstone Circuit, home of the British Grand Prix and the British round of the MotoGP, 25 minutes from Santa Pod Raceway and 40 minutes from Rockingham Motor Speedway. For racing of a non-motorised style, Towcester Racecourse is within half an hour. It's about an hour from here to the UK's biggest zoo at Whipsnade, and to Europe's biggest artificial lake at Rutland Water. About 35 minutes' drive north is Market Harborough and the massive adventure play centre Mini Mischief.
