喜欢 Omg just had amazing 2 night stay , took me and huddy right back to our childhood. Walking through the maze of pitches and picking wild plums and blackberrys right off the trees ( pie making when we get home )We booked a campavan pitche for 2 it wasn't a big pitche ( 14) but sat between 2 ponds and we spent our nights with a fire watching the bats fly through the trees it was amazing . Phones off and just watched nature passing by , was amazed to see a deer running alongside the path we were on . Will definitely be back this year looking forward to see the seasons change . The 2 couples that have created this unique space have done an excellent job , and every child young or older lol should get a chance to Experience. Will be bringing our grandchildren to climb them trees . Thank you we will be back this year.

不喜欢 If you like your phones , TV, hot showers and clean feet THIS is not for you . No water or electricity on site .BLISS

喜欢 The campsite is a working nature reserve with plenty of biodiversity to wonder at. The owners/hosts are hospitable and nothing is too much trouble.

The fact they really care about the land and are actively working to preserve the wildness of the site is honestly an absolute credit to them.

The surrounding village must be so honoured to have something like this hidden gem on their doorstep….i mean why wouldn’t they, who doesn’t love nature like this!!! 😊

The world genuinely needs more sites and people like this!!!

喜欢 Beautiful location, beautiful camping spots. Great amenities - honesty box that provides fire wood, water, snacks. Hospitable, friendly owners

喜欢 Loved exploring and disappearing for a while, owners are lovely to talk to/with and were helpful if I had a problem, 0 complaints from me for a solo get away for the night :)

喜欢 The site is beautiful, full of nature and wildlife. The camping plots are spaced out nicely to have your own space, there's a lovely communal area and open space to play games, lovely at night time to see the sunset, moon and stars too. The owners are friendly and welcoming. We had a really lovely getaway from the real world.

喜欢 This site was very quiet and our pitch was secluded. Very friendly and were there if we need them. The portaloos were clean and well stocked.

不喜欢 No running water. But bottled water was available.

Thanks for your kind words and great review.

We do make it explicit on our website about the water situation but can see how on Pitchup it may have been unclear.

Since the 23rd (time of your booking) we have;

1. Added the wording "Just a reminder, we are a nearly wild site so we don't have a mains water supply. We have bottled water available to buy on site but please feel free to bring your own". to our welcome email.

2. Added a "before you arrive" to this email that contains all site info.

3. Requested that Pitchup explicitly lets people know the position on water.

Whilst we have water for sale, we don't mind people bringing their own and like to think its all part of the nearly wild experience.
