There are several reasons why Pear Tree Cottage at Poplar Farm place is so well-liked by its guests: proximity to the sea, wow-inducing views of the Lincolnshire Wolds and easy access to heaps of footpaths and bridleways that crisscross the local area and coastline. Hidden away down a private country lane and set in a level and well-maintained two-acre field, this smashing little hidey hole lies among peaceful coastal countryside and is a short drive away from several beaches and resorts along the Lincolnshire coast, including Mablethorpe, Ingoldmells and Skegness, with the nearest – Huttoft – an easy mile away. For stuff to do nearby, a spectacular seafront golf course lies around two miles away, and if you’re of the horsey persuasion, this is a good spot to base yourself for hacks along the sand and coastal bridleways, as Lincolnshire County Council permits riding on all of its beaches. The Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a short drive away too for long hikes and bike rides. When you return to Poplar Farm after a long day of seeing and doing along this area’s stunning coastline, swing by Alford, around 15 minutes’ drive away, to pick up a few bits to throw on a barbecue back at base, or give yourself a break and stick around to dine out at one of several restaurants there. Among the amenities at the site are a bathroom block with toilets and showers, and a laundry room with a tourist information area.

喜欢: Friendly and welcoming hosts. The site is beautifully kept, level pitches, small site that is relaxing and peaceful. Excellent location to the beach which takes around 40 minutes down a small country road to reach: but so worth the walk! Alternatively you can drive around 6 minutes and park there. Bathroom and toilet facilities excellent and being heated was a fabulous touch especially for the chilly September mornings. Great site for our dogs, the long driveway with large grasses verges is great toilet facilities for them with waste bins provided. Will definitely return, a superb find!

喜欢: We really liked the location of the camping site as so near a beautiful beach and the friendly hosts. The site was small and intimate, very pretty and quiet with excellent facilities. It was also very well maintained.

喜欢: Driving up the drive way, we got a welcome greeting from David, the grounds are beautifully kept, good size pitches,both toilet and shower room were upto hotel specification, lovely clean and always smelt fresh, both David and his wife made us very welcome, lovely walk to the beach, also not too far from town centres either way, would definitely recommend for adults only to visit this beautiful site,

喜欢: A nice, helpful welcome from Dave. It's a tiny sight, a very pretty, well manicured cottage garden, absolutely immaculate! My hardstanding and grass pitch was level and a very decent size. I woke up this morning to the sound of birdsong, just so peaceful. Fantastic shower and all facilities perfectly clean and good free WiFi. An excellent dog friendly beach ( Huttoft Car Terrace ) just a 5 min drive away. Highly recommended!

喜欢: Really good site owners make u feel welcome . Clean tidy well maintained nice gardens good size pitches . Its a rare little gem tooked away in the Lincolnshire country side brill . Great adult campsite been there 4 times .

喜欢: The loo and shower were scrupulously clean and the owners take pride in this. The site is very well kept and the owners are really friendly and welcoming.

喜欢: Clean toilets, well stocked. Great pot wash with freezer, washer & dryer. Beautiful, well maintained grounds & friendly owner. Such a lovely, quiet place away from traffic noises & crying children. It was not overcrowded, which was a big bonus. A little slice of heaven

Explore miles upon miles of quiet sandy beaches, bring your binoculars for birdwatching or just laze and gaze adoringly up at the wide open skies above. Be sure to bring your buckets and spades, because this is a splendid spot for a family beach break, with both Sutton on Sea and Huttoft beaches nearby for cheerful beachfront huts, plus Mablethorpe, Ingoldmells and Skegness all within an easy half an hour’s drive away. For animal-themed days out with the kids, take them to the donkey sanctuary in Huttoft, Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary or Skegness Aquarium.
