喜欢 Being able to pitch the tentbox right at the fishing lake and having the whole lake to ourselves the whole weekend. Totally undisturbed and a well stocked lake !

不喜欢 Shower/toilet slightly rundown but functional and hot water.

喜欢 Colin the manager was welcoming and friendly always had time for a chat.
Said if we go back again we don't have to book as he will fit us in which is useful to know.
The site was very clean and peaceful.
The grass was nice and short and no grass cuttings which was good as other places leave them and they get carried into the tent which isn't good when it's wet.
The facilities were very basic and for the price you can't comaplian.
There are two shower rooms both with a sink, toilet and a shower, then outside a washing up area, they could do with updating and maybe have more toilets and showers on site.
The walk to the fishing lakes were clean and loads of fish (.though we don't fish)
Also we saw two red kites flying about.
We will definitely stay on this site again.
There was also no hurry for us to leave and was told as long as we are off before the evening thats ok and to make sure our tent was dry before packing it away so it doesn't go mouldy or rot.

喜欢 Lovely quiet surroundings close to home , first experience of camping with van and awning , great night away

不喜欢 Spend a bit of money on run down toilets and site would have been a 10

喜欢 Liked the field it was flat
Had our own electric point
Water was very near so didn’t have drag our barrels far at all
Colin made us very welcome
Staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the surroundings
Facilities needed upgrading but were clean, cleaned every day,
Everything was at hand washing up area and chemical waste bins were emptied daily

不喜欢 If I was to dislike anything it would be toilet and shower could do with updating

喜欢 Everything ! Little gem of a place total peace and tranquility but to be fair we were the only ones on site, Topcliffe village with a couple of pubs both with food within easy walking distance. I would recommend adhering to the 6m length as 4 of the 5 pitches parking is nose to tail so longer vehicles could possibly struggle to park between others as turning round to exit may also be awkward but for our 7.5mtr motorhome it wasn’t a problem being the only vehicle on site.
The owners responded politely and quickly by messaging if we needed any information.
Also the slow moving river is just a matter of a few yards away which also adds ambience to this small but beautiful site.
We would certainly return should we be visiting this area again.

喜欢 Wonderful scenery. Clean pitches, good grass. Hear the birds and everything was out and obvious.

喜欢 Lovely quiet site with a lot of bird life. Very pleasant walk round the fishing lakes and through the trees. Pitches were well cut. We were the only caravan in the pitches

不喜欢 The facilities. The shower tray and toilet were dirty (not flushed) there was toilet paper torn on the floor and the floor was dirty. Considering we were the only people there and we were expected I feel that could have been sorted before we arrived. We cleaned it up ourselves with the mop that was there and our own anti bac wipes.
Once it was cleaned the shower had good hot water and there was plenty of space in the shower room. There’s only 2 showers & toilets so could be hectic when there’s more units on the site

喜欢 Hot shower lovley out way location,
Absolute bargain price to stay with electric was met by lovley polite gent on entry told us where everything was,
Freshly layed eggs 6 for £1 definitely stay again when travelling through 👍
