Banish any visions of a stressy holiday stuck in hot cars and slow traffic out of your head… At North Shore Holiday Centre, a family-friendly Lincolnshire site 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Skegness, you won’t have to travel far to stay busy once you arrive. North Shore is on the outskirts of Skegness, and there’s plenty of seaside resorty things to do within easy reach of the site: the sandy beach, pier and town centre are all within walking distance, and you’ll have to drive for less than 15 minutes to get to the museum, nature reserve, aquarium or theme park. There’s tons to keep you busy on site too: play a round of miniature golf, perfect your end-game at the nine-hole pitch and putt, have a go at bowls or boules, try out the arcade games and go game-set-match on the tennis courts. Feeling peckish? There are oodles of eateries within 25 minutes’ walk of North Shore, or you can settle in for a meal on site – call in to the fully-licensed bar-restaurant, then stick around for the evening’s entertainment.

喜欢 Location, 10min walk to beach, 20min walk to town. The onsite bar/restaurant was also very good and dog friendly. The toilets/showers were always clean and the onsite Spar shop was handy to pick up some breakfast items.

不喜欢 Not really a dislike but the pitches are a little close together but enough room for motorhome and awning.

喜欢 Had a few days stay here. It's probably the closest camping area to skegness centre, I'd say realistically it's a 15min walk into the center but only 5 minutes to the nearest pubs, shops and takeaways which was what we wanted as I like to have amenities to walk to.
The holiday park itself was great. The receptionists were friendly and helpful. Really liked the 2 guys who were cleaning the shower blocks on a morning. They were very friendly and accommodating and probably don't get enough recognition for what they do. There were plenty of cubicles and showers too which was great.
The areas are clearly marked on the map and are easy to find. The pub on site is a great addition.
Lovely site with the location being the best advantage.

不喜欢 Some dog users didn't clean up their mess which was quite frustrating but not the holiday centres fault. Also found the WiFi hard to access despite following the instructions

喜欢 The position is great for Skegness and the nightly cost is reasonable, the site was mainly quiet, apart from barking dogs.

不喜欢 We paid extra for a hard standing base, from the photo it looks like tarmac but it was only grey stone, so the only difference between that and the gravel base pitch was the size and colour of the stone for an extra £18.00, so save your money for the fish & chips!

There was a strange smell in the shower block, which could easily be cured with a good wash down of bleach water, we stayed for 3 nights, it was worse than when we stayed last September. Went for a shower straight after they were cleaned and the cubicles still had grass in them and other dirt on the cubicle walls so no cleaning there. Some of the toilet seats were broken, no hand soap, most with no toilet roll, luckily we have our own on board toilet.

A women took her dog into the shower block every morning which my wife thought was disgraceful, so this needs monitoring better or signs putting up.

Any stay at North Shore Holiday Centre should start with a thorough exploration of Skegness as there are loads of places within five minutes’ drive you’re going to want to add to the list. Kids will want to dive into the aquarium, the fairground and the brightly lit amusements of the pleasure pier, while grownups might have more appreciation for the Naturelands seal sanctuary or The Village, Church Farm open-air museum. Want something for everyone? The entire family should be entertained with trips to Fantasy Island theme park (in nearby Ingoldmells), the Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway and the stock car and bangers racing at Skegness Raceway, all within 10 minutes of the site. When you want to take your adventuring beyond the bounds of the seaside town, you can find peace 15 minutes away from the thrill rides and squealing tyres with visits to Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve or the flat Lincolnshire Wolds for cycling and walking trails, or by making a pitstop at the spectacular Gunby Hall and Gardens for a taste of splendour. For a quirkier outing, make your way a little further afield for a night at the Kinema in the Woods, believed to be the only full-time cinema in the UK still using rear projection for screenings. Screen one is home to an organ covered in 18th-century-style lacquered consoles and screen two has trompe l’oeil-style paintings of rural Lincolnshire on its walls.
