Fishing and a pub on site, plus an award-winning beach 10 minutes’ walk down the road? Take yourselves off to Towervans Caravan Park for this mighty fine mix in Mablethorpe, over on Lincolnshire’s east coast. Whichever activity you pick, you’re likely to be in for a fine time here. The spacious fishing lake in the centre of the park is well-stocked with specimens to angle for, and has plenty of smart seating around the edge for folk who prefer to spend their time simply staring out idly at the water. Success at the lake or not so much? Either way, the Tower Tavern pub is on standby for drinks to celebrate/commiserate – and it also serves up good food at decent prices (including a cracking carvery on Sundays, which is rightly popular among guests). The tavern also has entertainment most weekends throughout the season including charity nights, karaoke and bingo. The park’s central Mablethorpe location is a handy one for all sorts of eats and drinks, in fact: there’s a fish and chip shop a couple of minutes’ walk away (chips on the beach being a must-do while on a seaside holiday…) and several pubs and restaurants are within easy walking distance too. A couple of decent supermarkets are a few minutes’ walk away if you’re in the mood to create something in your caravan’s kitchen.

不喜欢 The site said you can book in between 3/7 but the van was not ready when we arived at 3 .we had to wait over half hour

喜欢 Clean basic caravan . Could have done with a few more cooking accessories, such as a small casserole dish with lid ,for use in microwave. Otherwise OK.

喜欢 "Our family had a wonderful weekend at Towervans Caravan Park in Mablethorpe, staying from June 27th to 29th. We were so impressed with our static caravan – it was incredibly clean and well-prepared for our arrival. A special mention to the friendly staff who were brilliant, particularly in accommodating our late check-in without any fuss. The park itself is a real gem; it's very peaceful, exceptionally clean, and clearly caters well for families. We loved being so close to the beach, making it easy to pop down whenever we liked. It was the perfect, relaxed base for us while visiting family in the area. Highly recommend Towervans for a hassle-free and enjoyable caravan holiday!"

喜欢 Accommodation was clean. Location was good. Bed was comfy. Shower was large and a good pressure. Bingo in the Tavern was good, albeit expensive.staff were very helpful. Quiet.

不喜欢 The curtains let in so much light they may as well not be there. The caravans have outside lights but the switch is with the indoor lights so lots of them were left on, meaning they shone through the pointless curtains all night and affected our sleep. There is no space for a travel cot in the bedrooms. The kitchen equipment was minimal and missed some basics. Not on the site but in mablethorpe generally, there is dog poo everywhere!! WiFi expensive.

喜欢 Caravan was lovely size, mother is disabled but she managed the 3 steps in, nice and welcoming.
Good size fridge plenty of space in front room for family time. Will defo book again.

不喜欢 Show was hot and cold, no storage to put toiletries.
Small storage in little bedroom ok for little kids bags, (teenagers take too much)
Not much to do onsite.

Where else to start but Mablethorpe? There are plenty of the usual seaside entertainments here like crazy golf and a funfair, and you can also ride a sand train along the beach or head to a teen-friendly skatepark in the dunes. Walk through the Mablethorpe dunes (about 45 minutes on foot) to reach The Seal Sanctuary Wildlife Centre, then take a trip to the Donna Nook nature reserve (25 minutes’ drive) to see grey seals in the wild. Nature nurturers may also like to get down to Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve (40 minutes) to see all sorts of seabirds or stroll on an accessible path. For a proper change of scenery, take your adventurous side down to Fantasy Island theme park (half an hour) for rides, rollercoasters and regular events. Too terrifying? Try Alford (15 minutes) or Louth (25 minutes) for excellent market browsing and other shopping, or get your boots on for a walk in the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (20 minutes).
