Let Alan, Jo, their two sons and labrador welcome you into the lovely Lincolnshire countryside… the rural location and the splendid views at The Lazy Buzzards might convince you that you’re tucked firmly away in nature’s big backyard, which is true aside from the fact that the seaside resort of Skegness is only 10 minutes’ drive to the east (that’s a 15-minute pedal for those of you who have brought a pair of wheels along). Families, dogs, couples and any fans of a barbecue will find this family-run site particularly splendid. The nearest dog-friendly pub is only 20 minutes’ walk away and there are many other options for tasty fodder in the pubs and restaurants in the surrounding villages, towns and cities, including Burgh le Marsh (half an hour’s walk), Ingoldmells (10 minutes’ drive), Spilsby (15 minutes), Chapel St Leonards (15 minutes), Alford (20 minutes), Horncastle (25 minutes), Louth (half an hour) and Lincoln (an hour). With the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds three miles away, pick up the pace with rambles through the valleys, woodlands or chalk pits, and then return to the spacious four-acre site for some thorough relaxation. The views over the Lincolnshire fields make for some spectacular barbecues, that’s for sure. When it’s time to see Skegness and all of its sights, simply join the A158 nearby. Once there, you might have a hard time deciding on between all the indoor and outdoor attractions, which include the Fantasy Island theme park, bowling alleys, a cinema, fairground, crazy golf and a beach. Perhaps pick up some fish and chips or ice cream and take a parade along the seafront and pier or nose around the shops on the high street too?

喜欢 The site was peaceful even when full yes you heard kids playing and having fun but they all went quiet around 7ish. The site had a nice big dog area where we used frequently each day as our dog prefers to be off lead to do anything so we felt she was secure and safe and even managed to run about. The facilities was clean and tidy. One of the owners was always about if you needed anything and was friendly but also left you to enjoy your break which was so nice and refreshing (you also could get hold of by phone if needed) the pitch itself was clean and tidy. We even saw fighter jets flying across when we got there. It's far enough from the beach (especially when you have little kids that would practically live there if they could) but not too far (about 15 minuets in the car) if you want a stroll down the beach. There are shops nearby a co-op on the walk from the site with a chip shop about 2 minute walk (is cash only) and there are other shops but would need to drive to them but all within 5-10 minuet drive. There are animals in nearby fields that children can see if you walk down the lane (we saw alpacas, donkeys, sheep and cows) the walk you can access you can see horses and donkeys that you can feed they have a bin with carrots in.

不喜欢 Nothing much apart from the walk that is nearby as its a very difficult road to get across (think almost like motorway traffic) even more difficult with children but this isn't the sites fault and they do state this in the leaflet they give you.

不喜欢 Nothing really! The bypass was a bit annoying as I can’t block it out but that’s not the pitch’s problem!

喜欢 Staff friendly, very spread out so plenty of space for your pitch. Handy drinking water tap at the pitch to save having to go back and forth and enclosed dog area to be able to let your dogs off for a run around.

喜欢 Great location, well maintained site with lots of space and flat pitches. Clean and warm showers and washing up area, proper toilets that were clean at all times. Large communal fire pit area (did not use this as we had our own as had booked the bell tent). Quiet at night and safe for the children to play together and make friends.
