Let Alan, Jo, their two sons and labrador welcome you into the lovely Lincolnshire countryside… the rural location and the splendid views at The Lazy Buzzards might convince you that you’re tucked firmly away in nature’s big backyard, which is true aside from the fact that the seaside resort of Skegness is only 10 minutes’ drive to the east (that’s a 15-minute pedal for those of you who have brought a pair of wheels along). Families, dogs, couples and any fans of a barbecue will find this family-run site particularly splendid. The nearest dog-friendly pub is only 20 minutes’ walk away and there are many other options for tasty fodder in the pubs and restaurants in the surrounding villages, towns and cities, including Burgh le Marsh (half an hour’s walk), Ingoldmells (10 minutes’ drive), Spilsby (15 minutes), Chapel St Leonards (15 minutes), Alford (20 minutes), Horncastle (25 minutes), Louth (half an hour) and Lincoln (an hour). With the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds three miles away, pick up the pace with rambles through the valleys, woodlands or chalk pits, and then return to the spacious four-acre site for some thorough relaxation. The views over the Lincolnshire fields make for some spectacular barbecues, that’s for sure. When it’s time to see Skegness and all of its sights, simply join the A158 nearby. Once there, you might have a hard time deciding on between all the indoor and outdoor attractions, which include the Fantasy Island theme park, bowling alleys, a cinema, fairground, crazy golf and a beach. Perhaps pick up some fish and chips or ice cream and take a parade along the seafront and pier or nose around the shops on the high street too?

喜欢: Really lovely campsite. It was very quiet and calm and the showers were amazing and warm. Even in rain the site wasnt bad and didnt get boggy

喜欢: Beautiful campsite, very well maintained. Shower and toilets clean, couldn’t ask for anything more. Would definitely recommend and will also be returning in the future.

喜欢: What a gem of a campsite. We booked extremely last minute after a disastrous couple of days in Yorkshire. Hosts and incredible- accommodating us arriving slightly late, extremely friendly and helpful. Site is in a great location, clean facilities and perfect for a young family with dogs. We will without a doubt be returning. Thankyou again

喜欢: Great facilities, well lit in the evening, nice quiet off, far enough from the main road to not hear traffic, nice flat well drained pitch each with water, power and light at the bollard. Great secure dog area which was fabulous for them to let off a bit of steam after being in the van all night. Thank you for the great stay

不喜欢: Grey and black wastes in separate area would like a grey east near the main gate would be my only change

喜欢: Fabulous site. Not too big and excellent facilities. Showers and toilets were regularly checked and cleaned. Showers lovely and hot. The site is very well kept and nicely laid out. Only 5 miles from the coast and beautiful rural location. Easy to access and owner very visible. There was a problem family the first night, but this was dealt with very promptly the next morning and the family told to leave - very well managed! We will definitely visit again, real treasure of a site.

Take things up a notch with paddleboarding, open-water swimming or inflatables at Lincolnshire Aquapark and Watersports lake (half an hour), a good bounce around the Jump Warriors Trampoline Park (10 minutes) or skateboarding at Skegness Xsite Skate Park (10 minutes). Options for beaches include the peaceful beaches in Mablethorpe, linked by a path through the dunes, Wolla Bank Beach (20 minutes), Huttoft Beach (25 minutes) or a locals' favourite, Anderby Creek (20 minutes)… elsewhere, scenic walks can be tracked down at Hubbard's Hills (half an hour), Snipe Dales (20 minutes) or Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve (20 minutes) .
