喜欢: Fantastic stay at a really lovely quiet site. Quirky toilet block that was super clean. The host Saffron was really friendly. Site managed sympathetically to the environment. We even saw a muntjac! Thanks again. We will be back.

喜欢: Nice campsite, fairly new with good facilities. Pitches could be more level. Good location.

不喜欢: Owners need to have a better control of park residents to and from site. To have a group arrive at 1.30am and party until 5am is not acceptable and very unfair to everyone there. This subsequently ruined our stay. A gate needs to be locked overnight.

来自经理: Hi Claire. Thank you for your feedback. We had a very unfortunate situation where we had some guests that were very disruptive on site which of course upset us a lot when we found out about this in the morning. The guests in question told us they were planning on arriving much earlier. If we had known they were going to turn up at 1:30am we wouldn’t have let them book in the first place. They also booked a tent and were not truthful about the number of people staying. We have a strict no noise policy past 11pm which is in our terms and conditions. We are always on call and live ten minutes away from the site so would’ve happily come over to try and resolve the situation had we known about it had we known. I was very upset when I heard it had disturbed you but unfortunately this was a situation that was completely out of our control.

喜欢: Lovely quiet site in a secluded spot. Facilities were excellent and communication with the owner was super thank you for our first ever camper van trip . We were warned of sloping pitches and the site even had wedges to borrow .

Getting out to see more of your rural surroundings should be easy enough here, as there are some great walks in the vicinity, along with those bike rides on National Cycle Route 63. Rutland Water (20 minutes’ drive) is another good place for a walk or a bike ride (there’s a path that goes all the way round the lake), and you can also play golf, try your hand at sailing or bounce across the inflatable aqua park. If the kids are keen to meet cute animals, head along to Windmill Farm Park (15 minutes) for indoor and outdoor animals, play areas and a café. Bird on the Hand Falconry Experiences (15 minutes) makes a great day out for those keen to get up close to the big birds. Over in Leicester (20 minutes) there are plenty of options for a day out (especially if you need rainy-day activities) – the city is home to the National Space Centre as well as the Retro Computer Museum and King Richard III Visitor Centre.
