Meadow Brook Farm

喜欢: The host was brilliant, we had everything we needed, the bed was very comfy and the tent was spacious. A bbq and bags for it and fire pit was provided and for a small feee so was wood and lighter gel. It’s right next to the reservoir for a lovely walk and only 5-10 mins away from the nearest shop but are pubs nearby. There’s a water tap and a chemical toilet. It felt very safe and we can’t wait to go back.

喜欢: Simon (the owner) was very friendly and went out of his way to be helpful - he said he has only started the campsite this summer - so it's currently quite basic. Brand new power shower and handy dressing room with mirror and furniture (both inside the stable)

不喜欢: Toilet tents (chemical) were at the far end of camping field. Shower (in stable) at the entrance to camping field. Would be nice to have a toilet near the shower. Lack of privacy for showering - take a friend or family member to stand guard - Simon does intend to put a lock on the inside of the stable door.

喜欢: The location was good, secluded and ideal for families as there are no obvious risky areas like rivers around us. There was a road passing just behind where we were which was not too noisy. Simon was very kind and provided logs and towels as it was a wet day. The tents and the beds were good and very comfortable.

不喜欢: The only downside was the toilet and the tap that was not fixed in place to give you enough height underneath to wash your hands or any dishes.

喜欢: It was a lovely stay in a bell tent and Simon was very attentive. It was clean, well organised and very simple yet very comfortable. We would love to go back 🥰 Plenty of space to roam and activities for little ones

喜欢: Really lovely campsite, plenty of space, flat pitches, great location for the countryside and right next to the reservoir. If you’re looking for peaceful amd not bothered about facilities it’s great. I loved it. Simon was really helpful, thank you for the fire pit!

喜欢: Really close to the reservoir and a farm shop. Simon was very friendly and helpful. It was a hot day so he pointed out the stream for us to paddle in and find fresh water muscles so that kept my daughter entertained. We petted the sheep and even got a tractor ride back to our tent, it's only a short walk but lots of fun.

喜欢: Friendly welcome, being texted directions on the day, peace and quiet, choice of good pitching locations.

不喜欢: Limited toilet facilities, didn't see any showers, limited local food options.
