Once you’re all pitched up, you can head straight in for a pint or a wine – this park is rather handily tagged onto a cosy pub. The Hunters Inn, on the edge of Longdon village, is a handy four miles from the historic town of Tewkesbury around half an hour’s drive from Cheltenham, and also within easy reach of several of the area’s most famed historic attractions, including Tewkesbury Abbey, Gloucester Cathedral and Hartlebury Castle. The Malvern Hills are also a cinch to get to for walks and big bike rides, and the water meadow at Severn Ham, just outside Tewkesbury, is smashing for a bit of wildlife spotting and birdwatching. When you’re done with days of Worcestershire sightseeing, return back to base for a barbecue. However, if you’d rather have someone else do the cooking, then the pub serves some pretty great locally sourced food instead. There’s a nice sprinkling of entertainment here too: if you’re there for the pub’s monthly quiz, you can exercise some brain cells for a crack at winning the Hunters’ pub quiz crown.

喜欢 Nice little spot, all camp facilities centrally located to pitches, newly built ablutions, good food and selection of drinks from the pub.

不喜欢 Nothing worth mentioning. Only stayed for one night, experience was exactly what I expected.

喜欢 Very pleasant welcome by the young staff. Lovely pub campsite and non electric pitches were well sized. Other campers were quiet and respectful of the facilities. Fab new shower and loo block, best shower I’ve had at a campsite in recent years. The pub was well stocked and a great menu. The beauty of the reasonable fee of £22 for a night was that I didn’t feel awkward in not eating at the pub this time around as finances are a bit stretched, but have eaten there before. (Did our own bbq instead this time). Overall, the campsite had a good feel of freedom without too many signs and instructions around. Would recommend the location and facilities and the proximity to Tewkesbury. Wish there were more like this site around in the South West.

喜欢 2 day break with teenagers, lovely quiey site with plenty of spave, the toilet block was spotless and spacious. The bank holiday they had an icecream van which everyone enjoyed.

不喜欢 Shame the pub was not open on a monday (especially as it was a bank holiday).

喜欢 Very quiet relaxing site . Except the birds , they kept singing all the time lol. Great stop over on the way down the M5. Scenery is beautiful. New built toilet block, spacious inside and fab shower. 10 mins to Tewkesbury. Free wifi.

不喜欢 Very minor point . Pot wash sign confusing because it also says staff only past this point.

喜欢 Great pub onsite, generous pitch, great welcome. Ice cream trailer was brilliant too.
Facilities are second to none. Genuinely really impressed. Spotlessly clean everywhere.
There's a park nearby (8 mins) for off lead dog walking in Tewkesbury on the Battle Trail by council offices.
Would highly recommend this site, it's ridiculously cheap too.

Over in Tewkesbury, begin with an amble alongside the River Severn or opt for a boat trip along the Avon; then head to the town’s most famed landmark, the 900-year-old Tewkesbury Abbey, and have yourself a heritage wander around its walking trails. The Pepperpot in Upton is also a topping option as a historic highlight, as are Hartlebury Castle and the cathedrals at Worcester and Gloucester, all within easy driving distance. The area plays host to lots of festivals and events throughout the year too; if you’re in the area in July, make sure you check out Tewkesbury’s famed Medieval Festival, where thousands from all over get together for Europe’s biggest annual medieval reenactment: let the merriment commence and the mead flow forth. Elsewhere, this top Worcestershire spot is a most handy locale for outdoorsy and active adventures: there’s a golf course in Tewkesbury and several horse riding schools are in the area too, plus walking and cycling are popular around the Malvern Hills National Landscape, a short drive away. Severn Ham is also a splendid place for a walk and a bit of wildlife watching: be sure to take a pair of binoculars or even just your camera phone, because you’ll likely want to snap all the critters and birdlife you’ll find around this wild water meadow.
