Once you’re all pitched up, you can head straight in for a pint or a wine – this park is rather handily tagged onto a cosy pub. The Hunters Inn, on the edge of Longdon village, is a handy four miles from the historic town of Tewkesbury around half an hour’s drive from Cheltenham, and also within easy reach of several of the area’s most famed historic attractions, including Tewkesbury Abbey, Gloucester Cathedral and Hartlebury Castle. The Malvern Hills are also a cinch to get to for walks and big bike rides, and the water meadow at Severn Ham, just outside Tewkesbury, is smashing for a bit of wildlife spotting and birdwatching. When you’re done with days of Worcestershire sightseeing, return back to base for a barbecue. However, if you’d rather have someone else do the cooking, then the pub serves some pretty great locally sourced food instead. There’s a nice sprinkling of entertainment here too: if you’re there for the pub’s monthly quiz, you can exercise some brain cells for a crack at winning the Hunters’ pub quiz crown.

喜欢 Veldig hyggelig, rent og ordentlig sted. Nye toaletter med dusj i samme rom "Gender free". Hyggelig personale.

不喜欢 Det eneste jeg savnet var å kunnet få fryst mine fryse elementer til kjølebag. Men det var jo heller ikke opplyst, så jeg trekker det heller ikke ned. Lurt om Hunters Inn skaffer seg dette 😉

喜欢 A country pub site that has a great camping field with various pitches, all level.
A new toilet/shower block. Electricity hook-up if req'd. The ajoining pub serves very good ale and excellent food.
Very nice helpfull staff.

喜欢 very nice spacious campsite, I would say the back field is preferable to the front, showers/toilets are excellent and nice pub. you can walk to Tewkesbury but its bit of a trek [only one bridge] biking is only 25mins if you go via green lane it takes of most of the main road

喜欢 Lovely site with good sized pitches.

Toilets were fantastic with good showers and really liked the self contained pods. Would be helpful if there was a shelf/unit/bench to put clothes on while showering.

Pub had good food with huge portions at a reasonable price.

Washing up area could use a little love but fully usable with hot water, would be nice if had a second sink.

Have booked to return in a few weeks time.

喜欢 Lovely warm welcome from the lady behind the bar who was consistently happy and chatty throughout our stay.
The food was excellent as where the rest of the staff, shower/toilet facilities are obviously brand new and as such all worked great with good pressure on showers. All in all a lovely place to stay.

Over in Tewkesbury, begin with an amble alongside the River Severn or opt for a boat trip along the Avon; then head to the town’s most famed landmark, the 900-year-old Tewkesbury Abbey, and have yourself a heritage wander around its walking trails. The Pepperpot in Upton is also a topping option as a historic highlight, as are Hartlebury Castle and the cathedrals at Worcester and Gloucester, all within easy driving distance. The area plays host to lots of festivals and events throughout the year too; if you’re in the area in July, make sure you check out Tewkesbury’s famed Medieval Festival, where thousands from all over get together for Europe’s biggest annual medieval reenactment: let the merriment commence and the mead flow forth. Elsewhere, this top Worcestershire spot is a most handy locale for outdoorsy and active adventures: there’s a golf course in Tewkesbury and several horse riding schools are in the area too, plus walking and cycling are popular around the Malvern Hills National Landscape, a short drive away. Severn Ham is also a splendid place for a walk and a bit of wildlife watching: be sure to take a pair of binoculars or even just your camera phone, because you’ll likely want to snap all the critters and birdlife you’ll find around this wild water meadow.
