喜欢 Scenery, beautiful layout, very well kept, grass immaculate and staff very friendly and helpful.

不喜欢 Having to pay extra for dogs when they aren't allowed to be walked on site.

来自经理: Thank you for your feedback, we are disappointed to only warrant an overall rating of 1 which is the lowest that there is but would like to explain why we charge for dogs but can't allow them to be walked on site.

The £1 fee is to go towards our expenses such as the insurance, maintenance and emptying of the 2 dog waste bins on site, printing out of the dog walk leaflet which we give to every dog owner on every visit and for our staff to clear up after the less responsible dog owners who refuse to clean up after their dogs.
Unfortunately we have had to tighten up the rules around dog walking and toileting off site (or on your own pitch) due to an increase of the numerous incidents of people toileting their dogs on other people's pitches, in the camping grounds and in the meadow. This has caused great conflict and upset amongst visitors so we have had to take a stance and say no dog walking on site. We are all dog owners ourselves and we also take our dogs off site to walk.

I hope that this helps understand why we make the charge and why we have the rule.

喜欢 Had a good pitch, had to make the most of the dry spells in between the rainy weather but it was all worth it. Loved hearing the geese. Great location for a long walk down the canal. Friendly staff members and clean facilities.

喜欢 Great no frills stay. Camped in a non electric pitch in the far field. Very quiet and nearly had the entire field to ourselves!

喜欢 Very clean, tidy & organised site. In great location for exploring the canal. Almost on-site pub was great for when you didn't fancy cooking or wanted some home comforts. The facilities were very clean and it's the first place I have camped where the showers are actually thought about. There was a bench and hooks to place all your dry items, so you're not hopping from dry to wet feet/areas to try and change after showering. Will definitely visit again.

不喜欢 Only minor gripe, was told at reception that there were two fields for tents. I decided to go to the further/quieter field. Someone in a motorhome asked me to move pitch, to the far end, as there was a rally the next day. Was told it was the "rally field". Bit of miscommunication somewhere.

来自经理: Thank you for your review and feedback. I am so sorry that you were asked to move up to the far end, they had no right to do that at all! The field is only exclusively for rallies when it is booked as such. The rally that was in there was a very small one and knew that they would be sharing with our other visitors who had the choice of where they went.
I do hope this doesn't put you off returning and if anything like that happens again, please do let us know at the time so that we can deal with it.

喜欢 location was great. pub next door. slimbridge on the door step, walks along the canal. Unfortunaltey the weather was awful for our overnight stay so couldn't do a lot, but will defintley return.
Facilities clean and site well maintained.

喜欢 Friendly staff, level pitches, decent bathrooms. Walks, Wetlands and pub close by - ideal as weather was a bit hit and miss.

不喜欢 I expected canal side pitches/views but couldn’t see canal from site. The food at the Tudor Arms was tasty but the pub itself wasn’t particularly nice, nor was the cafe nearby. Didnt quite meet my expectations.

喜欢 Stunning camping site with lots of local attractions etc ❤️❤️

不喜欢 Wavy grass would be nicer flat to camp on and an electric gate for access to the site would be awesome ❤️❤️
