You arrive early in the evening to a warm and friendly welcome where you are shown to your very own Sioux Indian tipi and introduced to the facilities at South Cerney Outdoor. Your tipi sits majestically on an area of open grass, nestled between the rustling waters of the River Churn and the banks of a 47 acre lake of crystal clear water at the heart of the Cotswold Waterpark.
When you first catch sight of your tipi from a distance, you struggle to stifle a child-like giggle as your face lights up in anticipation.
As you open the coloured canvas door you are greeted by a scene of luxury, comfort and cosiness you had not imagined possible from outdoor living...
And then, on your first step inside, things take on a whole new dimension and you breathe the standard exclamation of...’Wow!’, as you marvel at the shear size and space. Everything you need has been included, apart from the clothes you wear and the food you eat. From the deep-fill, double futons to the sheepskin rugs and intimate lighting, you can see this is going to be an adventure that few people take the time to experience in their lifetime.
When your evening meal comes to an end you take a step outside to truly appreciate the natural beauty of your surroundings. Do you cosy up in front of an open campfire or take a stroll along the banks of the lake as the soft sounds of the water lapping at the shore help melt away the challenges of the week you’ve left behind?...
As you are gently awakened the next morning by the waterpark dawn chorus, do you choose to a relaxed breakfast in your tipi, or at one of the great local eateries?
Now for the fun part! whilst you stay at Cotswold Tipi you have inclusive use of the Pay&Play facilities which will allow you do have inductions in Kayaking, Canoeing, Katakanus and Paddleboarding.
Learn the basics from a passionate expert and then your free to roam the 55 acre lake all day long.
Only now do you start to contemplate what you might like to do with the rest of your day…

Your Cotswold Tipi Experience has been crafted as a bespoke escape for couples and families. There will only ever be a maximum of 3 tipis at any one time and you will not have to worry about stag or hen parties impacting on your enjoyment.
