Matlock Farm Park Camping

喜欢 We enjoyed the campsite, lovely and quiet, loved being surrounded by woodland, well maintained field, the portaloos were really clean and well stocked.
No showers tho which we didn't mind.
And a short walk on main road to the farm itself.
We went to a Highland games event at the farm and we really enjoyed it. my teenager surprisingly enjoyed the animals and loved feeding and petting them.
Clean and tidy farm too and well looked after animals and lots of things to do great for families with all ages of children.
Overall good experience.

不喜欢 Nothing we really disliked other than maybe more signs were needed on the road to the campsite from the main reception.

喜欢 A lot of space

不喜欢 It’s a meadow with 4 portable toilets and 2 water taps. Almost no shadow and not apealing. The animal farm closed early (at 5 pm) so we couldn’t go.

We are a pop up campsite, in a field with portaloos and drinking water. You can find our facilities on pitch up and in the welcome pack given to you on arrival.

The farm park opening times are also in the pack, 10-5 7 days a week. Your 20% voucher for farm entry was valid until the end of you stay on 14th August.

喜欢 Quiet site, clean and felt secure. Good check in/check out times. Made us of the farm park and used it as a base to travel into Matlock Bath

喜欢 Peaceful. As only one other camper .

不喜欢 Bins were smelling and dirty nappies visible In recycling . Bins were full and nobody there to fill them!

喜欢 Really enjoyed our stay. Toilet’s were clean and smelt great. Plenty of room. Easy to get in and out. No problems whatsoever. Would come again.

不喜欢 We just got confused that we had to go to the actual farm reception and then follow the road around for the campsite itself.

喜欢 Exactly as described. A large field with portaloos, water taps and bins for rubbish. A quiet site, not even the usual 4am bird calls although we did see buzzards flying above. Plenty of space to play bat/ball when we went.

It’s flat, well maintained and the gate is lockable.

The farm next door is one of the best we have been to, the animals are very well kept, plenty to do, sheep racing, ferret racing, bathing the tortoise, seeing the highland cows and reindeer, sheep and goats, the staff were friendly, a day well spent, we will be coming again and camping again!!

Also close to Matlock, we nipped into town to go to the park and get fish and chips for tea. It could be a base for a day out at Heights of Abraham or walks etc

不喜欢 Nothing, we knew it was wild camping and was exactly what we wanted to do with our grandson for an adventure.

喜欢 The quietness and huge expanse of sky were fantastic. Lack of amenities may mean fewer children - which suited us. Animal park next door is a bonus but we didn't go in.

不喜欢 A sink to wash in would have been good. Just a tap and portaloos is a very basic setup. Disadvantage of location - Only place to eat/ drink / buy eggs etc. in walking distance is a holiday park where the kitchen closes at 8 and the bar closes at 10.
