Parking up for the Peak District? Take your tourer off to Ashbourne Touring and Camping Park, a well-equipped park in a handy spot just off the A517 a mile from the village of Hulland Ward. Easy access from the main road means it’s nice and straightforward to get set up at this Derbyshire site – and that location also means you’ll be handily close to the village’s pub and farm shop (a useful source of supplies for your barbecue back at base). Bus services from the stop just outside can take you into nearby Ashbourne – or you can drive over there in about 10 minutes. In fact, everything here has been designed to make life nice and easy for guests, with well-kept ample toilet and shower facilities, a chemical disposal area, a washing-up area and a launderette provided. Dogs are welcome to join you on site as long as they're well behaved. The wifi service provided is also likely to come in handy, given that you'll probably want to plan lots of days out around the area. The edge of the Peak District National Park is about 10 minutes' drive away, as is the start of the traffic-free Tissington Trail, so you'll be in a good position for getting out to explore the lovely landscapes. And there are plenty of other attractions around too, including Alton Towers and the Chatsworth estate.

喜欢 Even though it was quite busy, we had plenty of space still away from our neighbours, staff were very friendly, it was clean and family friendly.

喜欢 Lovely site, clean toilet block and showers. Dog walking nice. Little park for kids (observed). Quiet site.

不喜欢 Would prefer a 11-12 toilet closed for cleaning time - not really a dislike.

Enjoyable peaceful site. Some sloping pitches. Clean facilities.

喜欢 We enjoyed the tranquility of the site and the pathways that were mowed for walks.
Liked the gap between pitches. Deep sinks for washing up and bowls also provided.
The children’s play area was spacious with room for ball games and nicely positioned.
Facilities were clean and there was always enough loo paper. Laundry room.

不喜欢 Didn’t find recycling.

喜欢 Cheaper than most sites we have used. Beautiful surroundings and very quiet when we stayed.

不喜欢 No shelf and only one hook in each shower. I think the showers would struggle to serve a full campsite. We could not find recycling facilities.

喜欢 Received a friendly welcome with lovely staff, well maintained site which is kept clean. Nice location which was well situated with a lovely view.

不喜欢 The showers; some only lasted for a few seconds when you’d press the button for the water which made it more inconvenient when trying to wash hair etc.
