Open only to members of the Caravan and Motorhome Club, adults-only North Barn Campsite is a back-to-basics sort of a spot set on the outskirts of sleepy Colmworth – one of the most remote villages in Bedfordshire. Its list of amenities may be short, but you’re compensated by far-reaching views over fields, colourful sunsets on clear evenings and wildlife aplenty to spot if you go about your business quietly. So… those amenities. They include water taps on the level grass camping field, an outdoor washing-up sink and separate male and female toilets with hand basins. Please just note that there are no electric hooks-ups or showers. However, the site is dog-friendly, and there are lots of walks around the site for the exercising of both canines and humans. Barbecues are allowed on the camping meadow in a firepit; you can pick up supplies from supermarkets in St Neots (15 minutes’ drive) and there’s also a quality pub five minutes away by car.

喜欢 The use of a toilet, though basic. It has the one door that opens to the outside. The lock unfortunately does not work. You sit there the whole time worrying that someone will come in. The men's have separate cubicles.
There is hot water at the toilet basin.

Good dog walks.

不喜欢 The ground is a bit uneven and scraby grass. I expect better for a CAMC site

I’m sorry about the toilet door lock — thank you for letting me know it isn’t working. I’ll get that repaired straight away so you can feel comfortable using it.

As for the grass, after the driest summer since records began it has definitely taken a bit of a beating. As soon as the weather allows, we’ll be overseeding to bring it back up to the standard you expect from a CAMC site.

喜欢 This is a newly established site without electrical hook up at present but set up
If demand shows a need. We managed with solar and gas so no problem. Toilets, and other services were good and the owner was none intrusive but on hand if needed. Site was very convient for our visit to Shuttleworth collection, a very interesting visit.

喜欢 Nice and peaceful. Great sunsets and stars over the field. Clean toilet with separate male and female. Enjoyed watching racing hares, and hot air balloon flying over.
