Tyckte om Location is great for walks and 2 decent pubs within 15 mins easy walk Pitches are enormous and therefore no need to be too close to neighbours which means it’s very chilled Very nice sunset views as the field is open with trees and hedges only on the edges Can turn up at any time until late which makes it very flexible if you’re coming from a distance Toilets and showers are not in some fancy block but there are perfectly adequate and cleaned regularly This was our second visit, the first being a few years ago and it’s still exactly what we remembered and it was exactly what we’d hoped; flexible and spacious camping. Will definitely be returning again.

Tyckte inte om No toilet roll in the toilets - this was the 6th campsite we stayed at on a trip and the 2nd to not provide toilet roll. I simply don’t understand this, did I miss a memo telling me to provide my own? And even if I did miss it why would I have to provide my own anyway? Not many toilets in the block which caused a queue WiFi was not strong enough

Nous sommes un camping 2 étoiles avec un prix raisonnable et nous ne fournissons pas de papier toilette, il faut le prévoir. Nous avons 2 blocs sanitaires sur le camping, vous pouviez éventuellement aller sur le deuxième qui est plus grand que celui ou vous étiez. N'hésitez pas la prochaine fois à venir nous voir pour que l'on puisse vous orienter sur le 2ème bloc sanitaire Concernant la wifi vous n'avez pas pris de forfait donc comment pouvez-vous juger le débit ? We also appreciate your comments regarding the children's disco and the sanitary facilities. The children's entertainment is part of the family atmosphere of our campsite during the summer season, although we understand that it may not suit everyone's preferences. Regarding the sanitary facilities, our campsite has several toilet and shower blocks located throughout the site. During busy periods they are naturally used more frequently, but our team cleans them several times a day to maintain a high standard of cleanliness. Our facilities are mixed, which is a deliberate choice to improve accessibility and make the best use of the available space. Thank you again for your feedback. Tyckte inte om Very loud disco until 23.00 then kids shouting and screaming their way back to their tents/pitches for at least another 30 mins Toilets and showers with a times switch. This would be bad enough in a toilet where, after only a minute or two the lights go off (leaving it pitch black) but in the shower this is massively inconvenient. Or to put it another way; it’s just crap. I understand some people leave lights on but how the hell is someone meant to shower in less than 2 minutes???

En effet les mois de juillet et aout sont des mois dits de haute saisons car les français sont en vacances, de ce fait il y a un peu plus de bruit et de monde. Concernant les sanitaires, il y a un minuteur mais aussi un détecteur de mouvements, il suffit donc de bouger un peu pour que la lumière se rallume.

Tyckte inte om These are not dislikes just things to consider: No shop on site but discovered one at the Haven site which is en route walking to or from New Quay The touring pitches don’t get a direct sea view, it is partially blocked by other pitches because the touring area is set back.

Tyckte om Location, views, space, quiet, cleanliness. Located on the edge of the village it is perfect for walking in for a drink or dinner and perfect also for jumping on a circular walk of about 11km through forest and fields. The site itself is pretty basic but has everything that’s needed including electric hookup, toilets and showers. The facilities are in a portable trailer style but don’t let that put you off; they’re cleaned regularly and the shower is nice and hot with plenty of space to get changed. The two local pubs were both very good serving food and local beers.

Tyckte inte om Disliked is a strong word, and there wasn’t anything that really could be described as disliked. The only thing I might suggest is the electric hookup plots are all along one side and a few are quiet cramped and a tiny bit squashed in which seemed a bit of a shame when there was so much space available so maybe consider putting in a few more plots with lookup along another hedge in the field and moving the facilities to be next to the barn building and not have plots in between. Just a thought.

Tyckte om We were in the top area where there were only a few pitches which was pretty nice. They’ve done a great job of planting shrubs to grow where they ashes of the pitches are which looks good. The showers and toilets were all incredibly clean and neat and easy to use. The local fish and chip shop was very tasty and worth queuing for. The owners were lovely people and can’t do enough for you which is rare and welcomed.

Tyckte inte om We were in the spot right next to the toilet and shower block which ordinarily wouldn’t be a problem but when there are loud people talking or shouting in there it can be a little annoying, especially at 6.30am. Also the light that comes on in the evening shine into the van at night. Small thing I know, but annoying nonetheless.

Tyckte om The bar was really good and a welcome treat. Nice beer and wine and I have to say the food was really good too, particularly the Greek salad believe it or not, and the pizza. The pitch itself was also good, nice and level with well looked after grass.

Tyckte inte om Showers (just 3) and toilets (for some reason someone was always having some sort of issue with their bowels so it stank…clean though, no complaints there). Also annoying that on our second night a party arrived at almost 10.30pm right next to us and proceeded to bang about for ages.

Från föreståndaren: We are glad that you enjoyed our bar, and that you liked your pitch and the efforts taken to keep it well maintained. As I'm sure you saw when on site, we are in the process of having a new and additional shower/toilet block built. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, the build has been delayed, which is frustrating to say the least. However, our current facilities include three showers and toilets for men, and four showers and toilets for women, with an additional two toilets available to use in the bar. Our policy is that check-ins arrive between 2pm and 7pm, so we are sorry for your neighbours arriving late on this occasion. Many thanks, The Elysian Fields Team
