Tyckte om I love this site. It’s surrounded by great pubs and restaurants all within a few feet of the main entrance. The river walks are all opposite and I would recommend the walk to Burton Joyce along the river and a visit to the Nelson pub with its lovely outdoor space and food. Train stations close by if you want to venture into Nottingham and Newark is a short drive away. The owners give you all the info you need upfront and then you’re pretty much left alone which we approve of.

Tyckte inte om Not really a dislike but a bit of a deep clean in the male showers and toilets wouldn't go amiss, and possibly some signs to tell other campers to clean their own mess up.

Tyckte om The site and the facilities are spotless. Staff are very friendly. Pitch size for tents was large and flat. Lovely walks along the river accessed from the site and close to Ludlow for the shops, market and restaurants. Nothing lets this site down.

Tyckte om Great location close to a pub that serves really good food. The facilities on site are all excellent and checked/cleaned throughout the day. Pitch sizes were large and well maintained and once all the newly planted trees on the site start to grow and mature it will make the pitches really private. BBQs and campfires allowed which is a bonus and the hosts can supply everything you need for this. Owners are hospitable and accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

Tyckte om Comms from the owner were good before hand and the site was easy to find. The location is very nice as is the position, quality and comfort of the shepherds Hut. They have really pushed the boat out and the full kitchen and quality equipment provided was really appreciated. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with very comfortable accommodation you will not be disappointed.

Tyckte om Another great stay at this site. Visited last year and hired one of the bell tents. So this year we decided to return again. Site is great with all the facilities you need. The Lady looking after the site was welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Also gave us some ideas for walks and pubs to visit while in the area. Looking forward to out next visit.

Tyckte om Updates from the owner before and on day of arrival which made finding the place easy. Site was clean and tidy and the tent we rented was great. Loads of space for the dog to run around and onsite facilities were fine. Owner came round on first day just to make sure everything was good and to see if there was anything else we need.

Tyckte inte om Not a dislike but if this site was busier then another shower would be beneficial, however as it wasn’t due to good social distancing procedures we never had to wait.

Tyckte om This is a great site in a perfect location. We had a very relaxed extended weekend here for the bank holiday and the weather was outstanding. Facilities at the site are good. Check in was easy and the staff at the club house are all friendly. Didn’t eat at the clubhouse but lots of people did and said food was good and reasonably priced. If getting online is important to you there is 4g coverage in the area.

Tyckte inte om Might be nice to extend the electric hook ups into the field where we stayed as the electric tent pitches fill up quick and were not really big enough for our tent. Just a suggestion though as we had a great time here.
