Camping Llavorsi

The dramatic waterfalls of Cascada del Gerber o Salt de Comials (25 minutes’ drive) can be admired as they tumble down a vegetation-covered rocky wall from an observation deck on the C-28. If you wish to get closer to the cascade, there’s a car park a little way further from where a forested path leads to the water. So many mountains in the vicinity means a vast number of observation decks from where you can take in the geography of the region. Make your way to Mirador de Burgo (25 minutes) or Mirador del Coll de So (40 minutes) for views of wooded slopes and rocky peaks beyond. An area of rugged peaks and clear-water lakes like the Estany Negre, Parc Nacional d’Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici (35 minutes) is crossed by an extensive network of signposted hiking trails. The park is home to birds of prey (including golden eagles), deer and wild boar, not to mention cultural highlights like the Romanesque churches of the Vall de Boí.
