Tyckte inte om I am writing to share our honest feedback following our recent stay at this campsite.

Unfortunately, our experience did not match what was advertised or what we expected. We specifically paid for a large pitch with a booth suitable for a family with a small child. Instead, we were allocated what appeared to be a narrow motorhome pitch, where even our BMW did not fit properly. We had to partially park on the road just to open the caravan door, which was both inconvenient and unsafe. This was clearly not the type of pitch we had booked or paid for, and one that would normally cost significantly less elsewhere.

Additionally, the seating provided on the pitch was not usable, as the chairs were covered in bird droppings. The same issue extended to the children’s area. With a small child, we expected at least basic facilities, but there was very little to do. The swing and slide were both dirty and unusable without cleaning them ourselves. Overall, the site does not feel suitable for families with young children.

Another major concern was the additional charges. While the £10 late check-out fee itself is not the issue, we found it unfair in the context of our stay. Prior to booking and even during our phone conversation, it seemed there would be flexibility, especially given that it was a quiet Sunday in April and many pitches around us were empty. We were told to “come and see” if space was available, yet despite clear availability, we were asked to pay extra.

On top of that, the electricity policy was not clearly communicated. The 10 kWh “fair usage” limit and the requirement to download an app, pay a deposit, and then incur additional charges came as a surprise. Despite being away for most of the day, we still ended up paying extra. In total, this added nearly another £10 to our stay.

Taken together, these issues left us feeling misled and disappointed. The overall cost of the pitch was already high compared to other campsites or clubs we have stayed at, and the value we received simply did not reflect the price. Instead of a relaxing, family-friendly environment, the experience felt overly focused on additional charges.

We also found the location less appealing than expected. Being so close to the busy road meant constant road noise, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy nature.

To be clear, this is not about the £10 here or there, but about the principle and the overall experience. We feel that what was delivered did not match what was promised, and this has left us with a very negative impression.

Unfortunately, based on this experience, we would not choose to return, nor would we recommend the campsite to others.

Tyckte om Lovely place very near to Sandringham site, BUT good WiFi,,,no extra cost, good phone signal, good tv signal. In Sandringham site, pay for WiFi, no tv, no phone signal. We will return. Very friendly staff. 10 mins from beach.

Tyckte om Super site, huge fully serviced pitches with a covered seating area and picnic table and a small patch of grass too.
Excellent shower and wash facilities, really modern and kept spotless, lovely staff and very informative, the site is laid out so well and you can see how much they have done and are continuing to do, even the fact that all the fencing is natural and separates each van and each row of vans has a natural woven fence for greater privacy 😀 very clean and tidy, immaculate.

Tyckte inte om The only downside is road noise but they tell you this before you book so its up to you to decide if the excellent location for getting around the coast is worth it and to us it definitely was.

Tyckte om Delighted with the showers - far superior to other campsites I’ve stayed on!
The owners were really likeable, friendly and welcoming.

Tyckte inte om Would be great if there were phone charging points available in prime areas - such as the bar, or washing up area. Annoying not having anywhere to charge phone!
Whilst I understand the rationale for implementing a fair use policy on electric pitches, the allowance could be a little more generous.

Tyckte om All staff were friendly, loved the bar and food, shower rooms were always clean, the site was always clean and tidy.

Tyckte inte om The play area could be made bigger as there were a lot of children but not a lot for them to do.
We enjoy doing a campfire and toasting marshmallows but this wasn’t allowed
