Time for a little countryside getaway with your other half (or just your good self)? You’ll get both a lovely rural location and a good dose of luxury when you book a stay at Stratford Bespoke Shepherd Huts.
This adults-only lodge is in a particularly excellent Warwickshire location, with green countryside views all around and easy access from the A46. As the name suggests, Stratford-upon-Avon is close by (about 10 minutes' drive away, in fact); closer to home is the village of Snitterfield, a mile away and home to a village store and a friendly local pub. A popular farm shop/café and a vineyard with tours and tastings are a few minutes' walk from the site as well.
It's not all about the location though, as lovely as it is – the stylish handcrafted accommodation is just as attractive, with pretty garden views and lots of handy amenities included. As well as your cosy bed, the cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, a small dining table and a satellite TV and wifi for a bit of entertainment. Bed linen is provided, along with towels for the ensuite bathroom, and there’s both air conditioning and heating to make sure the temperature is just right in all weathers.
Although this glamping hut doesn’t accept kids, you're welcome to bring your dog along. There are plenty of great walks nearby and you can also book grooming or doggie daycare sessions (just let the site know in advance if you'd like either).

You may well want to start in Stratford-upon-Avon (10 minutes' drive), to immerse yourself in Shakespeare-themed attractions like Shakespeare's Birthplace and Anne Hathaway’s Cottage before catching a show at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
For more heritage-tinged days out, head for some of the area’s grand buildings and estates – perhaps Warwick Castle (10 minutes), Charlecote Park (10 minutes), National Trust - Coughton Court (15 minutes) or Kenilworth Castle and Elizabethan Garden (20 minutes). A different kind of history is on display at Midland Air Museum (20 minutes), where you can see all sorts of planes from across the ages.
Other days out nearby might take you to the artisan shops and arty attractions of FarGo Village (25 minutes) or to explore Birmingham city centre (45 minutes). Alternatively, stay closer to home for a vineyard tour at Welcombe Hills Vineyard (five minutes' walk), fishing at Arden Lakes (15 minutes’ walk) or a round at one of three golf courses in the local area.
