Понравилось The site took me back 7 years still fantastic well kept site toilets and showers always.kept clean and warm nice quite peacefull lovely views staff are always around changing bins a showing new arrivals.to there pitch also have the jets fly over now and again very enjoyable stay.

Понравилось very spacious pitches water points close power on pitch uni/sex toilets always clean and tidy showers were large very warm , the large forest next to the site was a fantastic walk lovely for dog owners and just across the road the old saxon village with another lovely walk .to top it all the weather was fantastic ..we have been before and would definitely go again

Понравилось toilets were clean and tidy as was the showers but the water was a bit cold .pitch was fair and views were good nice pond set off the finish

Понравилось when we arrived information on the gate told us to black box to our right and collect our information pack as we done so the owner came out introduced himself as john he opened the gates i drove in he closed the gates told me get out off car and he showed us all facilities and our pitch he then said ile let you set up if you need anything just call..site looked very well kept there was 1 toilet & 1 shower/toilet both were clean and tidy .we found john very pleasant and helpful and he does like a laugh ,we had a very pleasant stay

Понравилось the views were amazing make you feel relaxed immediately pitches were good size grass electric hook up point conveniently spaced , fresh water point in front of barn facilities ,toilet/wash up /showers and lounge area was basic but clean tidy and showers were hot, blue waste and grey waste close to barn ..we enjoyed a good few days

Понравилось on entry was met by one off the team who carefully explained the facillities and told us our pitch number and which way to go we found the pitch easily as the numbering system is well designed and large to see the pitches are level hard standing and grass and very good size water points were fairly close by all pitches had hedge rows between them the site was very well kept the shower units were exceptional and clean the bar area was great all the staff were polite and help full and the shop was well stocked. would definitely visit again .they also had a large woods area attached to the site my dog and i loved it

Не понравилось the only down side was trying to peg the awning down the hard standing under the shingle lived up to its name extremely hard

От менеджера: Thank you for the top score Colin. With the hard standing we do send a pre arrival email recommending all customers bring the large storm pegs (9 inch nail type) and a large steel headed lump hammer. That generally works well on all pitches. many thanks

Понравилось excellent site well set out fairly quite good size pitches toilet shower block always clean and warm the pub was very nice staff very pleasant food was very nice cooked well and service was quick .generally had a very good break wood definitely go back again and recommend to friends

Понравилось We just arrived home from Roundoak farm. We had a nice weekend and plenty of places to take our dog around the area. But also it was nice having the wooded area on site for shorter walk. When arriving at round oak you immediately feel like a guest rather than someone just staying there. We had a long discussion with the owner in things we would like to see on the site. I am looking forward to see what is coming. I would also like to visit some time in the summer. Luckily this time we managed to dodge most of the rain. Not sure why people are complaining about narrow roads. We navigated them just fine with the caravan. Secuirty was also top notch as well.

Не понравилось road noise all day and nights sirens on emergency vehicles a constant sound all day and then you've got the light aircraft overhead coming into land every 1/2 minutes. then unfortunately on the friday at around 3/3.30 a group of 4 camper vans arrived they set up in their pitches side by side and then all gathered on one pitch and sat around a large table drinking chatting and laughing loudly until 10.30

Понравилось on entry greeted by the owner explained where everything was , first impression how well the site was planned out clean well kept large grass area with fishing lake trees 4 picnic benches set around the lake absolutely wonder full setting , the toilet /shower block extremely clean at all times ,sitting out it is so relaxing very quiet.the owner is a one man workaholic and is obviously very proud of his site

Не понравилось the shower tray area very snug could be a little bigger , security could do with entry exit gate ,although it does sit on a long private road .. just my own thoughts

Понравилось toilet shower was adequate and clean. the pub was good when open food was very good nice and hot good sizes very tasty the waitress was very friendly and helpful .we arrived on the monday didnt actually see any one until thursday evening

Не понравилось on arrival no contact with anybody just a few instructions on a board only 3 pitches on hard standing (which was ballast ) this was noisy to walk on and caused the dogs next door and in the pub to to start barking so going to the shower or anything was awkward. could do with better signage as i could not find where sink waste went when i asked was told it goes in chemical waste

От менеджера: Thank you for your review. I am very pleased you enjoyed the food and the pub when open. My details do say it is self check in and you choose your own pitch the instructions on the board, we feel, are more than adequate there is also a phone number if you were finding them difficult to understand. I am not a large site with hundreds of pitches who have a man in a shed checking people in and out. When you booked it says Gravel Electric Touring Pitch and that is exactly what they are, it does not say hard standing. The opening times for the pub are also in the details. My dogs, if my dogs start to bark I call them in, I am always very aware. The signage I think we have enough and they are quite easy to understand. Waste water, all waste water which includes chemical goes into the chemical and waste water unit which is signed, we are on septic tanks which are emptied on a regular basis, we do not have main drainage. You felt the pitch fee (large pitches), were too expensive, well lets go through this I do not charge for an awning, (which I know you did not have), I do not charge for parking your car, you have free use of the showers at anytime no switch off button so you have to keep pressing it to complete your shower, heating in the shower/toilet, plus toilet tissue plus hand towels plus hand soap, there is no cap on the amount of electricity you use in your van which (I am sure you did) running your heating etc. My showers & toilets are cleaned everyday and twice a day when we are busy. Wishing you many happy holidays

Понравилось nice secluded pitches shingle hard standing water tap about 10 feet away not too bad toilet /shower block about 30 feet away with grey waste and chemical on one end and washing up area to the side everything was well signed toilets and showers were very clean and fresh .nicely heated and piped music the owner on arrival was pleasant and very helpful as he let us in through the key coded barrier in all its a very pleasant site about 50 pitches but because the way its divided out you don!t realise

Не понравилось the entrance/exit opening could have been wider as the hedges made it hard to see traffic coming from the right all thou its not a busy road it did make it awkward the main A road traffic was bearable except for the odd motorcycle

Понравилось site was well kept .the staff from point of entry were all very good the shop was well set out and clean as was the restaurant we had dinner one evening which was very nice again the staff were good

Не понравилось the only dislike was the road noise which im sure the owners are aware off perhaps planting some trees /bushes along the perimeter along side the road called help

Понравилось excellent site well designed spacious pitches loved the toilet/shower units very quirky good toilets nice hot shower. bin area and chemical toilet waste area all behind doors and very clean and tidy.. the grass and hedges are all well kept and all this behind electric gated entrance..definitely will visit again as its location is excellent for so many walks so much to do close by well done to the owners

Не понравилось the only fault i had was the road (oxclose lane ) was a bit narrow with caravan in tow but keep slow and other road users are helpful

Понравилось the site is well kept and the toilet/shower blocks are always clean and tidy pitches are numbered and are clearly marked the owners are always welcoming its a good secure site, its obviously well known and was very busy

Не понравилось the only disappointment was the fact it had rained so the grass areas were a little bit soggy but that did not put us off

Понравилось the site was very well set out nicely kept grass and trees good road surfaces owner was very pleasant and help full the site was in a lovely location with a good park opposite excellent for walking the dog .

Не понравилось arrival at the site was a bit awkward as the gate/barrier was rather close to the road and another caravan was blocking the roadway behind and was taking a long time to get the key code to get in once in we were given a plot number and told to follow the road round we met a young lady after about 150 mtrs see apolagised she had told us the wrong number, i did find that they had 1 toilet and 1 toilet/shower for males and the same for women i do not really think this is enough when you have 55 pitches

Понравилось we found the site was very well set out with pitch numbers on a stake easy to find .all areas were clean and tidy ..the chemical toilet and grey water area was well set out and clean good signage for both ,the toilet and shower block was impressive clean and warm at all times , it was nice to find the dog walk was an old railway line so it gave a good long walk for the dog first thing in the morning and conveniently a poo bin just by the gate.its nice to see the owners have ongoing plans for the site wish them all the best for the future

Не понравилось the timer on the barrier was a little quick on two occasions on entry after entering the pin no the barrier started coming down just as i got sat back in the car so had to excellerate quick to get in

Понравилось nicely kept grass pitch area well laid out good clean toilets and shower,s i often caught the staff cleaning so i was impressed .during our first day we observed trevor coming up to the corner by the gate and sitting waiting to greet his customers we enjoyed our stay although our brand new awning pole snapped in the high winds but we didnt let it put the dampeners on it

Не понравилось the entrance gate was a bit off a let down the sensors were,not working on the outside and was no information as to reception. but trevor did come to greet us when we phoned. and was very helpful .

Не понравилось Number one thing that would stop us recommending this site to anyone else is cleaniless. Their needs to be someone regularly checking the toilet and shower block. Get up early and clean them just like every other site we stayed at does. Multiple times no toilet roll, sinks were filthy the morning we left no hand soap to wash hands. Showers also need a little work with room to change etc. Ive read this is coming soon! Also don't expect peace and quiet during busy times. Kids screaming constantly, running between caravans. You think it would go quiet once it's dark. Nope they just get torches and continued to screem till 10.30pm! Not really the owners fault! Where are the parents?
