Понравилось Booked on the day we wanted to arrive as a last minute stop due to long drive it was accepted and the host came to see us, even though the place was closed to public being out of there season we were allowed to stay it was very peaceful with beautiful sceneary

Понравилось ! ​If you’re looking for a getaway that combines genuine hospitality, rustic adventure, and top-tier food, The Crown Inn and Campsite is the place to be. We spent an incredible Easter weekend here with another couple, and it was hands-down one of the best camping experiences we’ve had. ​Hospitality That Goes Above and Beyond ​We were originally in a real bind after our initial campsite cancelled on us last minute. However, Derry and Jo truly saved our holiday. Derry actually took the time to call me back personally, and they both decided to squeeze us in so we wouldn't miss out on our trip. They are such lovely, genuine people—nothing was too much trouble, and their helpfulness turned a potential disaster into a fantastic memory. ​The Food: Local & High Quality ​We ate at the pub several times, and the quality was consistently high. We were lucky enough to be there for the launch of their new breakfast service, and it was spectacular. You can tell they prioritize locally sourced produce; the food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. It’s not just "pub grub"—it’s high-quality dining in a relaxed setting. ​The Campsite Experience ​The layout of the site is unique and adventurous! ​The River Crossing: The site is split by a river, and you actually ford the river to reach the hard-standing pitches. It was such a fun, memorable way to start the stay! ​The Facilities: It’s a basic, back-to-basics site with a clean compost toilet available. When the pub is open, you have access to those facilities as well. ​Atmosphere: The grounds are very well-maintained, and the pub itself feels incredibly homely and welcoming. ​The Local Vibe ​One of the highlights was the weekend pub quiz. It’s a great way to spend an evening, and the locals are some of the friendliest people you’ll meet. We felt like part of the community within hours of arriving. ​Summary: Whether you’re there for the fun river crossing, the incredible local breakfast, or just a pint by the fire, Jo and Derry will make sure you’re looked after. We can’t thank them enough for making our Easter weekend so special. We will definitely be back!

Понравилось I needed a one night stop due to traveling further on. Through pitchup booking I received my pitch number. The access code. And facilities access code. Brilliant. Didn't meet a single person. Didn't need to. I arrived late. And left early. The site was perfect. Peaceful. And looked very new. The facilities were exactly what we expect. Clean& Hot. Just off the A55

Понравилось This is the second time we have started on this site, and it's for bigger and better. A brand new large toilet block to compliment the older smaller one, both well kept and perfectly clean. No restrictions on hot water. John, Sian and ther family are extremely helpful and friendly and really go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. TV signal is really poor in the area but they have nice long cables to use for a small £5 deposit. The one I had was too small to get to our TV as we have no external point o connect to, so John spent a long time masking one up for me. The site itself is lovely. Quiet even though there were plenty of kids playing. I have two teenage boys who can be noisy but they were left to pay how ever they wanted. With a park for younger ones and an area for ball games. The changes they have made to expand are excellent and it does not take anything away from the charm of the place Would recommended to anyone.

Не понравилось The local village shop struggles for fresh BBQ food. But tesco isn't far.
