Понравилось Small, friendly campsite. Owner Janine very friendly on arrival. Well laid out site - in great location for walks and enjoying the area. Right behind The Ancient Briton pub - great burgers in their outdoor ‘Little Briton’ food hut. Make sure you slow down as you approach the pub and turn into the pub car park which is also thr entrance to the campsite - we drove straight past as we didn’t see any signs for the campsite on the road. Great facility block - exceptionally clean - you’re given a card that opens the toilet/washing up room/elsan doors as otherwise pub users go in - totally understand the need for this although one card between 4 of us was a bit tricky when someone else needed the loo/shower if one of us was already in there. Im sure if we’d have asked we could have had an extra card but we just made it work as only there for short time. Great little site very relaxed atmosphere. Local Area: Were lucky to bump into a local family down at a river spot (follow public footpath opposite Lle Tawe coffee shop) brings you to a lovely river spot perfect for a paddle) who told us about some great river swimming spots (w3w reference.husband.candy) a walk up Carreg Goch to see the remains of a WW2 Wellington Bomber - totally worth the hike (start point is Showcaves car park just up the road - also a camp site there worth a look as its not on PitchUp) there is an information board at the start of the mountain path walk telling you all about the plane crash sites around the Black Mountains. Wouldn’t bother doing 4 waterfalls walk totally spoiled by too many inconsiderate tourists - so much litter even nappies were being left and sooo busy! So much to see and do around this area we only had 3 nights here could definitely do with longer.

Понравилось We went to the wrong ‘Morfa’ campsite first not the site’s fault just mind your satnav doesn’t take you wrong as this seems to be a popular name in this area - very friendly welcome on arrival and good information map - we stayed on serviced hard standing pitches which had lovely view of the sea. Just a shame our cars had to park in front of the vans and not space beside as this obstructed view. Pitches were good, very difficult to get any awning pegs in make sure you bring a metal mallet luckily we borrowed a neighbour’s - you’ll also need very tough straight pegs. Great facility block - award winning I can see why - showers on 10 second timer though so forever pushing the button. Superb kids play area with huge football pitch and goals. Great little costcutter shop/Texaco garage at bottom of road otherwise Aberystwyth is only 10 mins drive with big Tesco and Morrisons. Tesco gives you 3 hrs free parking perfect for exploring around on foot - definitely have a lool around the old castle ruins and war memorial. Stunning views. We had a trip out to Devils bridge seemed to be the most popular attraction- bit overpriced and over hyped in my opinion- we followed up with visit to Hafod National Trust estate which was infinitely more enjoyable and had some fantastic waterfalls and loads of river pools for swimming and playing we spent hours there follow the blue walk totally worth it! Great stop over on out welsh tour.

Понравилось Stunning lakeside location. Loads of toilets & showers even during busy peak season never waited for shower and always clean. Staff very friendly especially the lovely lady who showed us to our pitch and the lady who was cleaning toilets daily- always said a very cheerful good morning 😊 Footpath into Bala - i used it as a great running route into Bala and back nice 10km great views. Lake was simply beautiful perfect for paddleboarding- very shallow for a long time ideal for smaller kids - mine being oldee loved the floating pontoons to jump off in deeper water. Great vibe on site - lovely to have so many younger people together enjoying the outdoors. Separate areas for tents, motorhomes/campervans and caravans - guess some people might prefer to be mixed but i think it kept site well organised. Easy access to permits from on site pay and display machine - £5 per day for paddleboarding/fishing or £20 for the week. Great value. Food vans came down to ‘lakeside beach’ twice while we were there the steak can was lovely (bit pricey though) A sold 5 🌟 from us we will definitely be back again!

Понравилось Exceptionally friendly & helpful staff. Clean site. Spacious pitches - flexible on where you are - we were taken to closest pitch to where our fishing peg was which was amazing. Good quality facilities - toilets and showers great even on busy bank holiday weekend I didn’t have to wait for shower. Fishing was great (according to son! He caught 3 big catfish and lots of smaller carp) Lots going on around the site, we had carboot and family fun day while there. Bar & restaurant on site brilliant again staff incredible, working so hard on a very hot & busy bank holiday. Prices were very reasonable. Overall a very relaxed, happy vibe about this place - spacious and friendly. We will definitely be back soon!

Понравилось Very clean, tidy, organised and efficiently run site Immaculate facilities Use of site nearby Traylee Bay for laundry and free mini golf & excellent fish & chips

Не понравилось Very formal no park or area for kids to play games Biggest issue we had to as although facilities were clean and new the showers and toilets were in one cubicle so if you needed toilet you had to wait for ages for people to finish in showers. There was a separate urinals room for men but no separate toilet block which seems very odd and only 5 shower/toilet rooms for whole site

Не понравилось No signs at entrance so we had no idea where we were No signs from road satnav was trying to take us across a fenced field All looked a bit sad and neglected Would be nice to have signs to the river/nature walks only found them by accident. Has potential to be a fabulous site.

Понравилось Informality - no rules about dogs on leads, ball games, fires etc Scenery was spectacular Little brick building has comfy sofas, log burner (no wood though) wifi Fire pit on site we borrowed

Не понравилось Toilet got blocked and only one on site Shower is £1 for 5 minutes bit steep (pound coins only so make sure you have some) No one came to see us on site No pot wash facilities so the only water tap was also causing small pond underneath where people have used it to wash their dishes
