Спальный барак Top Barn
Понравилось Here is my review of the top barn, based on three people staying three nights in September. This is a peaceful location, with nice views from the car park. The theme here is very much about being in a cowshed, and many features remain from when it was one. Sacks have been fashioned into curtains, and milk churns have planks of wood on top where you can prepare your meals, the Belfast sink is quite agricultural. Men can pee into a milk churn, which has a funnel to help with aim. There are two compost toilets, and one hand basin which in a former life was a cattle drinking trough - only cold water available to wash your hands outside the loos.
Pound coins are needed to use the one available shower. The accommodation is well ventilated due to the gap under the door, which I think would be appreciated in the summer. The oven hob works as it should, as does the fridge and microwave, be careful when pouring from the kettle, as the water pours out wide and not all of it reaches your intended mug. Mattresses are comfortable. There were three of us staying in one of the two barns. I wouldn't want to stay with many more people, and certainly not if there were also people booked in the other barn, as the loos and shower mentioned are shared by those staying in both barns. Don't plan to leave valuables when you go out, as the old padlock and chain needs an upgrade. It reminded me of some bunkhouse accommodation I experienced back in the 80s, but with a price tag elevated beyond what I felt appropriate. Unfortunately we didn't meet the owners during our stay.
