Понравилось Fantastic as always. This was our 3rd visit and we are already planning our next trip. If you don’t like nature, peace and quiet and animals then this is not the place for you!!! This is a farm campsite and its rustic charm is the reason we keep returning.

Понравилось The size of the campsite, you’re not all on top of each other. They’re not squeezing an excessive number of people in. Being able to see the stars free of light pollution. The animals!!! We love being able to get involved in feeding time. Milking the goat was a huge treat!! We all really enjoyed meeting Phil the bushcraft expert, he was wonderful with the kids teaching them to make fire.

Понравилось Maria and David were fabulous hosts. They got us all involved in feeding, grooming and caring for the animals which was magical for my children (age 12 and 8) who learned so much and their confidence around the animals really grew. We loved the rural setting, the peace, camping next to the cows, the woodlands onsite for the kids to play in. We loved meeting the animals - cows, llamas, sheep (Wanda is a darling), the goats and the naughty kids, the dogs (my daughter misses Zelda already), the horses, chickens and pigs. The facilities are basic but clean and functional. There’s an outside sink for washing up. Running (drinking) water available. I had worried about compositing toilets but there was no smell and they were clean. The showers are basic but blissfully hot!! The site was easy to find.

Не понравилось Leaving to come home! We disliked absolutely nothing but If you want perfectly level pitches, parking spaces, flushing toilets and washing up blocks this is not the site for you. If you want a full farm experience and a rural rustic setting then you will love this.

Понравилось We stayed as a group of 3 mums with our 6 children. The owner was helpful and approachable. The pitches were a good size, level and well spaced apart. The layout is clear and well signposted. The toilets, showers and pot wash area was perfect. Beautifully clean, well stocked with loo roll and hand towels. It was a luxury to have a lovely hot shower every morning! The site is dark at night but the toilets are well lit. The site was quiet (perhaps with the exception of the 2 year old in our party, sorry everyone). There is no play area or entertainment which was perfect for us as the kids created their own fun and used their imaginations. There was an ice cream van that visited the site which was a lovely touch.

Понравилось Loved the resident pigs and ponies and waking to the sound of the sheep. We loved the location. Rural yet within easy reach of Lumsdale Falls and Gullivers Kingdom. The staff were lovely! I liked being able to pick anywhere to pitch up.

Не понравилось The toilets and showers were functional and whilst they were not always pristine it was a very busy half term weekend. I wish the burger/hot drinks van could have been open on our last day, I could have killed for a bacon cob!!

Понравилось The site, the cafe bar, the play area, the sheep, the clean showers and toilets and the well stocked, reasonably priced shop
