Понравилось Very friendly easy going site , felt so welcomed , thanks Natasha ! Really clean good facilities, good powerful clean showers . So quiet and peaceful no road noise at all. Beautiful views . Lovely seeing the kids (goats) pony, calf , ducks, chickens and sheep . Thank you for an amazing stay .

Понравилось Big pitches, clean site, lovely heated shower/toilet block. No road noise . Have been before & will go again . Big kitchen / laundry room.

Не понравилось Bit of a wait for the barrier but do understand why it’s there. Not really campsites fault but extremely noisy dogs, people should be more considerate and not bring noisy dogs.

Понравилось Lovely quiet site, well kept camping area with patches of long wild grass. Friendly staff. Nice and relaxed . Best nights sleep ever in the van, only heard birds & the stream.

Понравилось Very friendly owners, lovely modern clean toilets & showers. Quiet site , Level pitches, beautiful views of loch and mountains. Can go & come back anytime day or night. Amazing kitchen with appliances and utensils & washing/ tumble dryer .

Не понравилось Small changing area in showers shame as the whole block is big, waisted space .

We were happy to accommodate your later arrival, however we don't offer a meet & greet late at night after our latest check-in time. All of the information you needed, including directions to the toilet and shower, is included in the welcome email sent prior to arrival. As we are a very small site, the facilities are all within easy reach with signage. You also received a welcome text on arrival with my number, inviting you to call anytime if you needed help or had any questions, I’m always more than happy to assist. Most of our guests really appreciate the flexibility of later arrivals and self check-in, but I’m sorry this didn’t suit your stay on this occasion. For context for future guests reading reviews, we do note that this reviewer has left similarly low scores for a number of other sites, which may suggest expectations that differ from what smaller, self check-in sites like ours are designed to offer. As it was our first weekend of the season, we had a small hiccup with getting them de-winterised, but that’s now been sorted. We understand the entry track has been a concern for some guests. We’ve been working hard to secure planning permission for a new drive, which unfortunately has been delayed, with a revised decision date of 1st May. In the meantime, we’ve decided to resurface the existing track and hope to have that work completed in the next couple of weeks before the busy season begins. Не понравилось Impossible to find, nobody on “site” . It’s a bit of scrub land on the side of busy road tanks going past ,constant gun firing, planes over head. Not peaceful or pleasant at all. Could find much better layby park ups. Stinks from chemical toilet waist tank really unpleasant! This is not a camping site!! In my opinion shouldn’t be on pitch up! Save your money and don’t bother even for 1 night. I stayed 2 hours & left, paid for 3 nights before going unfortunately.

Понравилось Nice location, fairly quiet apart from barking dogs. Facilities clean and presentable. Acceptable communication. Dogs included & electric.

Не понравилось For us times of gates being locked in/out we’re not advertised before booking. 10pm you can’t drive in or out. Paying for showers. Pub not in safe walking distance on fast road. No lighting on site at night. Not forthcoming with suggestions about local amenities.

The pub walk as you’ll see on many reviews is well within walking distance from the site depending on individuals walking abilities but is indeed less inviting during winter months by the grey miserable days tho is only a couple of minutes in a vehicle. I was on site most of the time during your stay and wasn’t aware of any dogs barking, the only dog I heard in fact was your own, if it was brought to our attention we certainly would have managed it. We always inform all of our guests about our local area as we did for you when you enquired about a ride out on your motorbike we suggested the best scenic route for you to enjoy. We’re extremely lucky here to be able to offer our guests beautiful dark skies that are unspoilt and uninterrupted by any light pollution especially not from our site! Thanks for trying our site appreciate it isn’t going to suite everyone.

Не понравилось Poorly signposted, not greeted whole stay, It’s a poorly maintained field! Looks like a traveller/scrap site, not welcoming at all. Toilet lorry was tucked behind vans/cars next to a rotting old bus, hence to say I didn’t use the lorry, access up to loos & makeshift steps/ ramp is poor slippery & no handrail. Grass doesn’t look like it’s ever cut so gets dragged inside van. The washing up bowls are filthy & clogged with allsorts. Next to busy noisy road . Would not class this a campsite unfortunately I’d already paid for it. Saw others pull up & leave . I’m quite happy to rough it but paying for this is robbery.

You've identified on the review heading as 'solo female traveller' but the booking was for two adults and I'm sure I saw two in your van? However, worth noting that I an cautious not to invade the space of solo female travellers and we hope we offer a safe space for, and encourage, all solo travellers. The directions emailed are very specific on how to get here. A Google Earth picture, written directions, What3words etc. There's pictures of the entrance and signage on the booking site. Not sure what else you feel is needed? I appreciate it was dark when you arrived. We don't illuminate the entrance to avoid disturbing wildlife and masking the the night sky with light pollution. We're having our house rebuilt after a fire so have to keep our vehicles on the campsite rather than by the house. They're up near the toilet block away from the pitches. The bus isn't rotting, he's just waiting for his new purpose. I did come out to see you in the morning and I chatted to your neighbours. You didn't come out of your van even though the door was open. I stopped and said hello to your dog and waited. There was quite a strong ammonia type smell coming from your van so maybe you were occupied. The toilet and shower lorry is a converted horse transporter. The rear ramp is specifically designed not to be slippery when wet and muddy and is raised to have a low angle. The steps into the shower are standard for the vehicle and do have added handles. There are plenty of pictures on the booking site so this should not have been a surprise. In fact, there's plenty of pictures of everything so nothing should have been a surprise. Grass does tend to grow when the weather is wet and warm. If it had been dry and I was able to cut it, you would have complained about the grass cuttings being dragged into your van. The middle of the field is allowed to grow long and is cut for hay once a year. The margins around the site are left to grow long to give wildlife to have a habitat. This has been successful and we now have Barn Owls and Kestrels as regular visitors. The hedgerows are sparingly cut and we now have lots of different bird species thriving. I guess you wouldn't hear them over the TV. The washing up sinks are outside and next to a hedgerow. This time of year leaves are falling from the trees and will land in the sinks, so leaves, berries and twigs will quickly build up. Not sure what the inference is with "all sorts". The site has flushing toilets, hot showers, fire pits, washing up facilities and you don't class it as a campsite! Again, there's enough pictures for you to see that we are not Butlins. You say you saw "others pull up and leave". Are you are trying to say that in the 4-5 hours of daylight on a Sunday morning, in November, you saw random, non booked potential campers arrive and change their minds and leave? I think you are very mistaken. We have many return campers and glampers and we are happy that what we describe ourselves as, and what we deliver is accurate and value for money.

Понравилось The friendly staff, a natural site with trees. No restrictions on times coming and going.

Не понравилось No one overlooking campers, awful couple of families disrupting the whole campsite late at night and 4.30 Am . Breaking tress smashing planters, fences etc to burn . Only 1 shower needs a shower curtain as clothes get wet. Limited food choice for non spicy eaters. Next to noisy road.

Понравилось Very clean site, level pitches, such friendly staff A+++ . Amazing shower/toilet block Feb it’s warm no stepping out shivering! Lovely dining area, nice garden pods for summer dining not sure I’d want to be shut in. Easy access to disposal area.

Не понравилось Dogs aren’t welcome even at the bar area :( have to be isolated outside in pods , not very social for the humans either being stuck in a pod. Site is too big for us, and wouldn’t be enough seating in summer months. Also arrived 3.30 and was told food service had finished early afternoon, so had to then either unhook and drive to a shop or eat snacks.

Понравилось Nice level field. Clean facilities. Phone charging pod. Under cover kitchen area . Basic camping but price does reflect this.

Не понравилось Very noisy road, wasn’t sent gate code. Unfortunately there was a couple of large groups who were drunk and quite noisy even after the 10pm quiet time, kicking footballs that were hitting vans.

Понравилось Lovey clean park, friendly staff , sorted my booking mistake easily and was happy to accommodate me one more night. Very close to a big beach which dogs are allowed all year. Cathy on site but I didn’t use it. Good stock to shop,very clean hot showers, separate changing area. I will be going back if in that area.

Не понравилось Security bars you can’t get in and out when you wish. I had to leave early but couldn’t get out. Nobody answered either phone numbers. So unfortunately it made me late for my commitment. A coded Gate would be much more friendlier.

Понравилось Clean warm toilets/showers. Super friendly staff. Level pitches, electric/water/grey waste on each pitch. Nice size site not too big. Quiet no road noise. Dog friendly, plenary of walks. Very good value for money . Can buy gas bottles from the shop, also well stocked for essentials.

Понравилось Sam was extremely helpful A*** , friendly , approachable, pitches were level + big. Nicely laid out site. Separate changing in shower cubicles no wet clothes .

Не понравилось Toilets/showers are quite dated , needs upgrading . Off site noise at weekend night/party’s from a local house.

Не понравилось Toilet basic wasn’t clean. No where to put clothes down for a shower floor dirty. Water tap not accessible for Motorhome. Septic tank was awful stings your eyes !

Понравилось Lovely big spaces , very clean and tidy, nice greeting, brilliant games room. Enclosed dog exercise area . Clean modern showers/toilets . Whole site well presented, close to major roads but no road noise. We will definitely be back!!

Не понравилось Tiny thing but Only one hook in shower cubical, maybe a small stool could be put in each shower .
