Понравилось I stayed here just for the fishing lakes. They did not disappoint. Managed to fish two lakes which were well stocked with a variety of species, large and small. Toilets and showers were lovely and clean. The grounds are remarkable with lots of mature trees and shrubs which host local wildlife. I loved it.

Не понравилось Throughout the day the traffic noise. At night hardly a thing to be heard.

Понравилось Only I can drive 100 miles in the hope of catching a tiger trout at Llandegla. The minus 4 degrees C (Early December 23) gave each lake a thick covering of ice forcing me into plan B. The staff were lovely and friendly and although I didnt eat in the cafe the smells of the cooked breakfast were very tempting. Had I stayed longer, I would have been in. This will be a superb place to return to in warmer months. The random spread of picnic tables throughout the site offer casual breaks for campers. Toilets, showers and wash up areas cleaned to a very high standard and I have my eye on the hot tub for my next return. Thank you Llandegla, I will return with my friends......and dogs.....and rods. Llandegla forest didnt fail to surprise me and my collie, Jet. We took the long walk through the forest admiring the carvings and the spruce trees heavily decorated by Jack Frost. The cafe has a log burner outside which made a pleasant rest after my 10 KM stroll.

Не понравилось Nothing at all to do with the site: My heating breaking down in the camper. Short days and long dark nights. Weekends passing far too quickly.

Понравилось The manager who met us at the gate was a lovely lady who guided us to our pitch. She gave us a verbal description of the rules and supplied us with a barrier key. Pitches were concrete slab and very level. The toilets and shower block were immaculate all the time and well serviced. We liked the look of the new club, but we didn't visit as we had other plans. This is our second visit to The Willows, we plan to return and will definately pop into the club next time.

Не понравилось There was nothing to dislike at The Willows, the description on Pitchup shows clearly what to expect. The Willows is indeed just as stated.

Понравилось This is a well organised and excellently run site. Despite the country being under COVID -19 restrictions, the communication from the team has been second to none. The site is kept spotless and germ free. The highly commendable team are seen working constantly to keep us all safe and keeping the site tidy. The dog and farm walks are incrdible with extesive views across the moors. Wildlife is in abundance in the fields and woods which surround the site. Surrounding villages are within easy walking distance and all host pubs with local brews and great meals. The take away in Kirkby moorside do fantastic Pizzas, Curries and Kebabs. Dont forget 10% off when ordering on line - JB Spice. Well worth a walk to Lastingham. The Blacksmiths Arms has Theakstones Old Peculiar. We only managed three visits. The village pub upheld the Eat out to Help out scheme (August 2020) which made the stay even more adorable. Good old Annabel. Thank you XX

Понравилось The whole organisation from greeting to departure. The site was spotless and the new shower rooms were perfect. The golf course is manicured to perfection and the anglers were catching. The club looked popular and busy but we didn't use it as had a skinful in town.

Не понравилось I wandered onto the golf course with my dogs and around the fishing lake. It wasn't until I exited that area that I noticed the "No dogs" sign. There is no signs at the far end...Sorry! No damage, no mess and no duck or rabbits injured in my straying.

Понравилось The clean and plentiful facilities and hot water at any time if the day. This site is an ideal base to use for local walking in the hills, Glens and Lochs. Bring along your fishing tackle as its free. The beach is at the end of the site.

Не понравилось The rain and Scots mist, which had nothing to do with the camp site.

Понравилось Last minute booking via Pitchup.com. I wasn't aware of how busy this area comes during a Yorkshire three peaks event. This farm has a Tea/coffee burger van on site which also provides toilet facilities for the masses of walkers. (These are separate to the camping facilities) Very friendly family run farm who are most accommodating and greet you with a very casual "in your own time" way. All under one roof are showers, toilets and potwash areas which are clean and serviced frequently. For me personally, I had a great stay, never long enough though.

Не понравилось A common dislike is that all your gear has to be carried from vehicle to pitch. It is understandable that vehicles cannot drive on this field due to its steepness and the risk of getting bogged down. Parking areas are at the top next to the barn.
