Понравилось Good location and views from the pitches

Не понравилось Not happy that after paying £50 for two nights I still had to pay £6 to access the black waste, I get this works for people who are not staying but if you have stayed at the site you should have a code to use this once without an extra charge.

Понравилось The host was lovely and tried to help with some of the issues we had during our stay

Не понравилось It wasn’t clear when booking that the site is accessed through a working farm, which meant that there was a lot of animals around, most challenging for us was the 10+ cats (that we saw) that appeared anytime we had food cooking or the dog bowl was out and setting off our dog who doesn’t like cats. The cats came into the awning the first night and went through the rubbish so we couldn’t leave anything around. The pitches are very small, just about big enough for a campervan/motorhome without an awning, I’ve never stayed at a site where they are so small. The grass to the side is on a slope with a step down to the pitch so cannot utilise this space. (We managed to put the awning up beside the van the first night on the slope but everything kept sliding towards the van and with the wet step down to access the van it wasn’t safe, so the lady let us move to the one big pitch for the second night as this was free) The facilities are all there although very basic. Wash up area is outside with no cover to protect from rain. Showers are extremely hot (coming from someone who likes a hot shower) which was uncomfortable to use, especially after a hot day hiking, and the shower curtain could do with replacing as it’s pretty mouldy. It’s a fairly new site from what I understand and they are trying to tick all the boxes needed for a functional site but it feels like the whoever who made the site is unfamiliar with camping sites and what makes them work for those staying there. Compared to the site we stayed at for a couple of nights before this which was only slightly more expensive the contrast was enormous.

От менеджера: Sorry to hear about your experience. The site was not originally designed for campervans or motorhomes but for pods however we lost our deposit on these during covid as the maker declared his company bankrupt. If booking and expecting to have an awning then the larger pitches are better able to facilitate this. The entrance over concrete on an area where there are no livestock. We are advertised as being a working farm. Thank you for your feedback. I have now updated descriptions on the website.

Понравилось Great pitches, spacious with part grass area and surrounding hedge to give some privacy. Toilets/showers were very clean and plenty of them. Laundry facilities which were payable by card

Не понравилось Only 2 wash up sinks which is no where near enough for a reasonable size site. There was always at least one person waiting and found someone washing their dirty pants/socks in the washing up sink which was disgusting! A temperature control for the shower would be good as the few times I used it he water was so hot I struggled to stand under it. On booking it stated to call if arriving after reception closed, I called several times during the afternoon but no one answered, would have been good to know in advance our check in information would be left for us to collect so we were not worrying about not knowing where to pitch when we arrived. Cannot comment on WiFi as no details on this were shared with us

Понравилось Great welcome, spacious pitches, and lots of facilities. Amazing cafe/farm shop 10 minute walk away The dog wash is an amazing feature, especailly after being at the beach as the salt water can make their skin very dry.

Не понравилось Showers stay on for such a short time before you have to press the button again, would be good if this was longer so its easier to shower.
