Понравилось The indoor fire was an amazing touch. The lighting the boys thought was very cool and the whole place was very clean.

Не понравилось The shower was so cold it gave you around 10 seconds of heat then went freezing but if you turned it off then back on you would get 10 seconds of heat again. Not having hot water in the lodge.

Понравилось Lovely setting and extremely safe. The walks around the site are beautiful with great views and two lovely pubs nearby. Lovely cafe on site.

Не понравилось Wasps! Completely out of the site’s control but they are everywhere. Only 2 showers on site however we heard that more are arriving in September. Due to no electricity on site there is no option to keep food cool with ice blocks. No lights in showers or toilets again this is due to no electricity. The lake is lovely however very smelly due to the amount of weed and muck at the bottom could do with drenching

Понравилось Fantastic sensory and setting. The owners were lovely and having a private bathroom was a really nice touch.

Не понравилось The sofa area turns into a bed. This is perfect as travelling with myself and three children but the sofa cushions are stained. Possible drinks or urine. We were given a duvet to put on top but it felt unclean. No curtains covering the windows so it gave very little privacy at night when the lights were on. It made changing uncomfortable. The grass is the softest, thickest most beautiful grass but is kept fairly long, even though it had recently been cut. The cuttings are left on the field, grass is everywhere, in our bed, shower, clothing etc. and even on dry days mornings and evenings the grass is wet. Being long it’s impossible to have dry footwear

We do take your comments very seriously as diverse opinions can only make us better. In respect of the grass, we have so far taken the view that we want the 5 acre field to be useable for kids to play football/games etc and have therefore constantly kept this mowed (using a ride on mower not tractor for a quality mow). Given the size of the field it’s impractical to collect all the clipping, particularly here in the South West where the grass doesn’t stop growing (although the luscious green does look beautiful). Grass cuttings do end up getting in the accommodation and shower rooms, so we may well decide to compromise and leave more of the field as uncut meadow with pathways to the accommodation. A good topic for an end of season survey - thank you. For the sofa bed mattress cushion, this is hand stitched and fitted, rather than loose and removable. It’s scrubbed regularly as part of the change over process and we acknowledge there is a stain but we see no evidence this is urine related. We’ve felt that the hand-stitched fitted approach giving us greater choice of material to make more visually appealing was the way to go but it has its drawbacks and perhaps a looser more generic cover maybe better. The mattress topper provided is covered with a sheet, both of which are freshly laundered and bagged under the bed ready to use along with duvet and pillows for the sofa bed. For the curtains, whilst the large double doors have curtains, the side windows do not and we’ll address this as well - thank you. We hope you enjoyed your time at North Thorne. We are constantly looking at our price relative to our competition and their offerings and the feedback we get from all our guests and believe we are hitting the right level.

Понравилось The most beautiful setting and atmosphere. The host was top notch and the Apple juice was divine😉 The site here is impressive, you have everything you need and more. What’s makes it more is you are away from all the busy side of Newquay making it peaceful yet only a short drive if you want to get into the town. The beaches around Newquay and the surrounding area are breathtaking.

Понравилось Really enjoyed the setting and camp. Staff were wonderful! The beaches are absolutely breathtaking.

Не понравилось Not a dislike but could do with a few more hot showers and a proper wash station like the tents have.

Понравилось Absolutely everything. Great camp, fantastic setting and great scenery. Communal kitchen is a huge bonus and a great way to meet the other campers.

Не понравилось I felt like the pitch up advert to what you actually got was very misleading There’s no tv, fridge, electric and microwave in the pod. The picture shows a tv in the pod also but not there on arrival

Понравилось Unfortunately the site cancelled our stay in the shepherds hut as it was no long available. However they moved us to a beautiful cottage just down the road. They ensured they dealt with all aspects so our holiday road trip was not ruined.

Понравилось Absolutely everything. The passion Lisa holds for this camp is extremely clear in every where you look. She bends over backwards to ensure you have everything you need and the perfect break you are looking for. the setting is beautiful and the history of the land and house is worth a read.

Понравилось The site was much bigger then I was expecting but was still safe for the children. Equally the accommodation was so much bigger then it looked on the pictures. An lovely stay.

Не понравилось The toilets but even though they were a pit in the ground surprisingly didn’t smell.

Понравилось What an amazing place. The staff are a huge credit and the entertainment on offer ensures a life full of memories. We only stayed for two nights but wish we stayed longer.

Понравилось The woods and the set up was lovely

Не понравилось The hill! Only 4x4’s can get up and down the hill, using a wheel barrow to travel 3 times up and down 200 meters of what felt like Mount Everest was super hard work. On the plus side I’ve come home with a huge workout on my thighs and bum! The showers and the dish wash station being in the same room and the lights in the toilets, even during the day it was too dark.

От менеджера: Glad you liked the tent set up and the location (minus the hill!) Yes it is a big hill but that it was makes the remote location so special. We do make it very clear when booking r.e the hill so hopefully it wasn't too much of a shock. We are currently building an outdoor kitchen so will have at least 1 sink outside of the dressing/changing rooms. We have much better lighting in the toilets now too. Thanks for the feedback

Не понравилось Really miner but to top of the superb stay a shelf in the shower rooms to pop your clothes and cosmetics is the only thing I can think off

Понравилось Simply the best…… by far!!! The most amazing, chilled, breathtaking place. The staff are utterly fantastic, and the kids have said “this is the best place ever!” Too many times to count. There’s so much to do here, entertainment never ends, yet it’s still calm and peaceful. They have nailed wild camping. The staff constantly go above and Beyond and the children are free to be kids. Building dens, playing and most of all making memories they will never forget. We can not rate this place enough. Well done team Adventure Pirates. You rock xx
