Good site with very well kept toilet and shower facilities. A short walk to a pub and a bus stop

Lovely little site in well-kept walled farm/country estate grounds with excellent and conveniently-located facilities. As a backpacking hiker without a car it was handy having a shop (and a Chinese :) ) a 10-15 minute walk away in Penrhos Garnedd and I think you can buy some bits on-site too.

We had a great time, staff are welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The toilet and shower block are clean and tidy, lovely warm water, and sanitary products provided were a nice touch. Tent area was well kept and we had no faults with our stay! It’s also a great location for Snowdon, only being 30 minutes away from the car parks, and a short 5 minute drive to Aldi meant we had everything we needed nearby.

Loved my stay from start to finish. I met a excellent guy in the office on my arrival called John, he was very welcoming and As I am a female travelling wales on my own he was very helpful and made sure if I needed help with anything nothing would be to much trouble. The campsite was kept spotless. The toilets were cleaned several times a day. Also loved the idea of USB charging points in the shower block. They also had hair dryers. Beautiful countryside views also including Alpacas and pony’s on the site entrance. Snack bar there open on weekends I thought that was amazing as I didn’t have to leave. Also very child friendly if you are travelling with kids they had a play park and large grass area for games

Nice site, well situated. As others have said, the site warden really makes this place and you can tell they really care. He was super helpful when booking and also helped us out with the caravan when leaving. Dog friendly if you keep on lead, with a dog walking area in the camping field that was really handy. Toilet block in the touring area is well kept, with hot showers and hairdryer. Little play park for kids and a snack van serving food and drinks.

The area

Arrived for what we thought following pictures on pitch up was a beautiful campsite could not be more wrong. Pitches crammed in we were on a track and felt like a carpark. We had a sunshade awning once that was up no where to leave your car and might as well of been in the next door caravan. Next the facilities toilets disgusting whilst using I got wet from rain dropping on my head, no hot water either so how do they clean it. flush did not work filthy and no toilet roll owner stated he could clean toilet as he was a man 🤣. The washing up area was situated next to the Elsen point (if you could call it that) with the drinking water not hygienic No roof on this area some sort of erected wood structure. On departure we found ourselves stuck due to cramped conditions and mud we had help fellow campers push each other out. Owners not seen all weekend apart from when I asked for toilet roll. The price of £45 a night you would expect clean facilities hot water and some space. DO NOT GO THERE BANK HOLIDAY RUINED

Lovely campsite with great facilities. Close to lots of great walks and scenery. Would stay here again as felt at ease being a solo female camper. Highly recommend

The area but not this campsite

We stayed on grass hook up so out of the walled area which looked as cramped as what we had to experience. I have never been so disappointed in such a pitch. Fire safety comes to mind the pitches far too small for the vans. One vans tow hitch was out in to the road so a cone was placed around it so we did not hit it. Meaning we had to drive on the grass on a wet bank holiday causing a muddy mess. We
were almost on top of each other. In fact you could step out of the awning ( which is not a full awning just a sun shade l doubt you would have got a full awning up) into your car if you could open the door! Or you could be dead nosey and look into your neighbours van tent ! On leaving it became a nightmare to get out everyone had to wait for each other to leave and one camper van had to be pushed out no help from the owners probably to busy counting profits. The toilets if you had to use them were disgusting no proper flush, not cleaned no toilet roll uck !! Felt sorry for the tent users. The Elsen point if you can call it that was surely a health risk. Drinking water tap was approx about a foot away from it ! In fact l questioned my partner if he was using the right tap. On the other side the washing up sinks cold water leaking drains. All this for a greedy cost for Bank holiday of £45 a night.
