Lovely River waterside and excellent walk to Tewksbury

The pub outside the campsite would be lovely - but sadly on a Tuesday it’s closed and there was nothing to distract from the run-down state of the site. Toilet/shower block is covered in cobwebs and just neglected. You can’t see the lake from the site, but you certainly know its there by the midges and mosquitoes. Could be a lovely spot, but badly needs some tlc

Good size level pitches with electric and water. Small quiet site, basic facilities in good order. Friendly manager. Pub and river just next door. Walk into Tewkesbury town approx 30-40 mins (depending on number of photo stops) along the river.

We liked the location (close to town) and local countryside by the river, proximity to the the pub was great and it was a decently priced pitch per night.

I always love the site we go for rally’s every year and have stayed here 7years on the trot .we always get a good pitch and access to the lower load for good food and music and I’d normally always go 5 star . just what you need for an adults quiet weekend away and now having Wi-Fi that works too has been a great addition

The showers really need an upgrade after all these years of going I’m sure it’s the same shower curtain which used to be white . We are campers and we’ve been to far worse sites with better cleaner facilities . But better than no facilities

Barfly bike rally on so great music to listen to in your tent

Ferry doesn’t run in the week and minimal time on Saturday.
Getting into town in £16 each way can fair and unable to get a cab for return which was only 2030 .
We had to walk which took an hour
Site didn’t tell us that Barfly bike rally was on, music til 0100 hrs
Same weekend every year.
Toilets and showers very basic and full of cobwebs and dead flies.

A great setting, we parked our camper in the non electric grass area which is a really beautiful field. it's great to be able to have a drink by the river, and there was a fab atmosphere in the pub on the Saturday evening.

The showers are really filthy, with cobwebs everywhere and it looks like they never get cleaned. The seat was off one of the two ladies loos. I did use the shower as I can cope with dirt and spiders but I didn't want to put any belongings on the floor or surfaces. Two other campers had a look whilst I was in there and said they definitely wouldn't be using the facilities. At £25 per night without hook up I would expect the facilities to be cleaned and well maintained.

Location was lovely, very rural and right on the Riverside.

Facilities really dirty and tired. Wasn’t cleaned in all the time we were there . Really disappointed as had been numerous times before but looked like it had changed hands and not been cleaned or maintained in last 5 years . Stains in showers hairs in sinks no locks on doors well some had shoe lace !! Rickety walk way to loos that you felt you fall through . Electric hook up field looks like it’s in chenobyl

Seemed like a venue for families that know one another which is great and a full site but kids riding bikes in front of the motorhome, people just walk by your door on your pitch and honestly the shower blocks are a disgrace, couldn't face having a shower, left a day early and £35 a night, will definitely not be returning

Loved the pitch and the walk along the river to Lode Lock.

The shower and toilet blocks need a lot of attention and were not fit to shower in. Orange shower curtain, dirty shower tray and lots of cobwebs. The two washing up sinks only had one plug between them and that didn’t fit, so you need your own bowl to wash up in. A good renovation of these facilities would make a world of difference to a beautifully located site.
