Very quiet clean good area for walks great size pitch

The site was lovely & clean & well looked after. When we arrived there was a festival (Down by the riverside) all bank holiday weekend , we didn’t know at the time of the booking but was a added bonus with free entertainment for the whole day/evening. All moneys easier when to chairing "young lives with cancer" it was amazing & the kids loved it! Everyone was friendly & the little pub was always busy with friendly staff, & delicious food. At the time of booking we were unaware of this , whic is a shame as I feel this was such an amazing part of our stay. The toilets & showers were very basic & not the best looked after … but we could deal with this. We enjoyed the festival side of things so much we are planning on booking again next August Bank Holiday 2024.

Location. Was really good to be close to the river and a pub next door. Perfect for relaxing. There was also a local festival on the summer bank holiday weekend, which was a nice surprise. Big pitches and lots of room for playing games. Ferry across and short walk in to the town of Tewksbury.

Shower/toilet block could do with a spruce up. However, it's not as bad as some other reviews will have you believe.

Location is idillic next to the water and only a short drive into the down. ordinarily would imagine very peaceful. We just happened to pick the weekend there was a festival on but we joined in and actually made it very enjoyable. Wifi was very good as signal was poor.

Very tired site, facilities need a revamp as other reviews state. Pictures are old and misleading. No sign of any hard standing as it’s all covered over by weeds. Algae growing on the ‘drinking water’ tap. Reception is a workshop and no clear signs or friendly welcome to tell you where to go even from the road. The price of the site needs to reflect what you actually receive. Embarrassed to of booked this with the in-laws for a weekend bank holiday get away.

Location was good, with pub close by on the river. Pitches are a good size.

It really is a shame that the site isn't given the attention it so well deserves. Hard standing are basically over grown with weeds, grass needs regularly cutting. The EHU stations are in disrepair the drive is full of pot holes. Toilets and showers are cleaned but there’s years of cob webs, nothing a good clean and lick of paint couldn’t really solve. By the kitchen station there is rubbish in the bushes?? it’s just a site that the owner has stopped loving or can not be bothered with. Noise could be an issue for someone people. Over priced.

It wasn’t super busy

Luckily, we were only staying 2 nights. The facilities on site are incredibly run down and in need of tlc. If you are someone who is triggered by spiders etc then this definitely isn’t the place for you. Firstly the facilities area smells so bad!! And then inside just loooks dirty and infested with cobwebs, spiders and bugs in which I felt uncomfortable to shower. I only used the toilets when extremely necessary. It was also noted that there was a boat from the pub across the river, in which I learnt does not run anymore so that was falsely advertised. Lastly, even the pub restaurant was not great. Felt like I was sat in an old church store room and again just seemed dirty and run down and spiders and dead bugs everywhere that we felt on edge and couldn’t relax. Would not be reccommend for campers.

The toilet blocks need major refurb for £25 a night is very expensive we’ve stayed in cheaper and a lot better! We set up camp in the corner which was perfect, we then had underage girls set up which was fine, until midnight and they decide to bring lads back to their tent doing god knows what with loud music then it turned into arguments and vehicle whizzing off to then find them back again at about 4am for more arguments! It was the worst experience we’ve had! I did message a number for the owner on site but had nothing back. Sadly won’t be returning.
