Fab quiet little site for a couple of nights away with our dogs. Facilities were clean and warm. Close enough to the village if a walk to the pub is what you're after.

Only downside was the website said there was a designated dog walk which we could'nt seem to find, maybe some little signs or a site map may have helped.

Lovely organised site with clean toilets and shower. Loved watching the lambs running and jumping in the field opposite. Great for visiting Richmond Castle.

Great location for travelling. Plenty of good places to eat within reasonable distance. River made for a very relaxing backdrop. A very quiet site.

I read other posts about the site being wet. Well it was and yes there was a part of the road that needs a bit more stone. However remember it’s been an unbelievable wet few weeks. So it’s acceptable. I would happily stay again as it was.

Easily accessed a short distance from the A1 through the village of Brompton on Swale. Some distant traffic noise from the A1 but as this is an adult only site this was far outweighed by the lack of children running wild!
A rather odd arrangement for arrivals as there is no reception or office on site, simply an email is sent a day or two in advance advising you of your pitch number and a corresponding peg with your name on is placed on the relevent pitch. The hard standing pitch was level but at an odd angle to the road, it made putting the caravan on the pitch easy but meant the caravan was facing the wrong way when it came to hitching up on leaving.
The field we were on had only just been opened for use and still needed some cosmetic work doing. There is a toilet/shower block at the far end of the field which we did not notice at first where there was also a drinking water tap but as yet no chemical or grey water disposal point (this is work in progress). These were located some distance away in the other field.

I have to admit I wasn't too keen on the "new" portakabin style shower block, Two toilet cubicles (no urinals), one shower and two washbasins. Same layout for the ladies. Free preset hot water fed through a button tap that needed to be pressed every 30 seconds in a very cramped cubicle with just two pegs to hang clothes, towels etc. Nowhere to hang soap/shower gels etc.
Our only other issue was with the large tent next to our pitch that had been pitched on the grass where their car would normally have been parked and meant our caravan was less than a few metres from their tent, a situation not helped by the fact the guy snored all night!
Having said that we would use this site again.

Stayed here for the Easter weekend and it was perfect for us (couple with a dog). Only a small site but ideally located. Simple no fuss arrival (names are on your pitch for you when you arrive). Ideally located to get onto the Coast to Coast Walk, about an hour's walk to Catterick and 1hour 30 mins to Richmond but a lovely walk in both directions. Site was clean, well maintained and quiet. We will definitely be returning to this one :)

Nothing to dislike.

Lovely peaceful site with excellent grass pitches. Rural feel, but close to local amenities including 2 pubs and local shop. Decent facilities and good value for money. The owners were very helpful - when we mentioned a lack of bins in the wash room they were quickly provided.

Some better hooks in the shower rooms would make showering easier.
