Very quiet and peaceful

We camp here every year never disappointed with the facilities never catch anything either the fish are elusive. We do enjoy the peace and tranquility this place offers. If you are looking to camp and try and fish this is the place. It does get really busy so hire everything you need from the shop in advance the staff are amazing very easy going will definitely go back

Staff were amazing, site is beautiful, toilets are spotless, they have everything you can possibly need there, a lovely cafe the breakfast is very good, 24h vending machines, wifi at my pitch! you can hire fire pits luckily as I forgot mine 🤣 im sure you can hire fishing rods as well, it's a great location as llandegla forest is opposite, highly reccomend this place!

Abserloutely nothing to dislike about this place

Fantastic location, beautiful views & surrounding area . Cafe offers amazing meals & snacks. Made to feel welcome & nothing was too much trouble.

Fountain pumps are quite loud during the night but we did have a lovely private pitch towards the front of the site and it didn’t spoil our stay.

Loved the site, really picturesque especially when the sun was shining.

I didn't need to make any specific requests however the owners/people running the site gave off an impression had I needed something they would go above and beyond. Especially the younger bloke who seemed to be doing a lot of the running around, really friendly guy and got the impression nothing would be too much to help with. At one point he seemed to have gone around every single pitch asking if they had paid for a fire pit for the evening as someone had paid for it but hadn't collected and he didn't want them out of pocket or without a fire for the evening.

The toilets/showers were cleaned and checked on multiple times in the day and thought it was a nice touch to add the WiFi boosters across the site.

Overall a great experience which was a first I had with my little lad and I have already recommended to family and friends upon my return home today.

Absolute hidden Gem of a find.

It's really hard to find criticism when there isn't much to be pointed out.

The reason we booked the site was for the fishing as my little lad really wanted to go fishing for the first time, we set up by the little family pool and this isn't really a criticism but only negative I could think of. The fish in that small pool did seem quite docile and it wasn't just us that didnt catch that day. I can only put it to maybe the fish being fed up by previous anglers so by the time we got there they weren't interested, however I would not let this stop me from returning and having a go myself on the bigger ponds.

The whole weekend was fab. Arrival was easy and we were told exactly where to go, all about the facilities and the fishing options were explained to us. The showers/toilets were spotless. The pitch size was huge! The kids loved to wash the pots in the washing area. The whole park was well maintained it was beautiful. My eldest is 11 and wanted to try out fishing to the point he was up at 7:15am ready to go which is rare for an 11 year old. Everything was explained to him and any of his questions answered. The little shop had everything we needed and we could either buy or hire which is amazing as we weren’t sure if our son would get bored so didn’t want to buy everything for him to then say he didn’t want to do it anymore. The breakfast was amazing! And we were made up that the 2nd day we got our orders in before they stopped taking orders due to the high number of customers. If you’re after a quiet weekend away or love fishing this is definitely the place to go. The only bad part is we didn’t book for longer. Can’t wait to go back! Thanks to all the staff for a lovely weekend.

Lovely stay- lovely grounds, facilities and staff.

Only downside was the midgys of a late afternoon/evening

Lovely location, close to MTB trails. Well maintained site with cafe. Amazing wifi.

Loo roll shortage and water wasn't very hot.
Pitched up alongside a fishing lake, as advised it would be quieter, but then a hoard of dads and young kids moved their tents alongside us. Thankfully none of them fell in and we couldn't hear them over our tv!

Beautiful location and great facilities with a very nice cafe ☕️ where I had a lovely breakfast 🍳 made from locally sourced produce, didn’t manage to catch a fish 🎣 on Sat but caught a 2lb trout on Sunday morning which I had for my tea 💜
