Great bins, great cafe. Level pitches.

Toilets - only three toilets in ladies portacabin, middle one door wouldn’t shut. No private sinks. Two showers for whole site. No loo paper.
Went out for the day and the owner gave our pitch to someone else, so when we returned we had to pitch up in a corner as no one available.
Pitch next to us very noisy, played music till late. Lots of litter.

We originally booked from Friday to Sunday, but after calling Karen she kindly allowed us to arrive already on Thursday – which was a wonderful surprise and gave us extra time to enjoy the place.

We stayed at Redgate Row pitch with hot tub for our anniversary and everything was perfect. The pitch was private and peaceful, with a great atmosphere by the lakes.

The facilities were excellent – the bathrooms were always clean and beautifully maintained, with toilet paper and hand towels available at all times. There was also WiFi on site, which was very useful.

On site there is a cosy café where you can have a nice coffee and a good meal. For fishing lovers, this is a paradise – there are several well-kept lakes for both trout and coarse fishing, and a fishing tackle shop for anything you might need.

Karen is a fantastic host – very friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. We also really appreciated how well she looks after the “adults only” standards, keeping the site calm and relaxing.

A perfect spot for couples to relax, fish, and enjoy nature. Highly recommend – we will definitely return!

The only small downside we experienced was that at one point another guest had a child visiting their pitch, even though the area is adults only. We really valued the adults only policy, so it was a bit disappointing at first. However, Karen reacted immediately and dealt with the situation quickly, which we very much appreciated.

Also, as the site is in nature, there are midges around in the evenings, so it’s a good idea to bring repellent.

Facilities not too far away, clean and in good order. Kids were very happy with the WiFi coverage! Cafe is great and the site is clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed the fishing too. Caught some small carp on one of the coarse lakes but saw others pulling some bigger ones in too. Fish were in excellent condition. Also had nets available to borrow as I’d forgotten mine!

Large pitches, well maintained site, good facilities. Nice pitch overlookig the lake. All pitches had a wooden table on them

Check in chaotic, the car park was extremely busy with day fishers. The check in is not well signed, but found our way to the cafe. We were directed to one of two pitches (told there would be someone on of the two and to take the other). Arrived to find both were taken. Walked back down to reception, the owner drove up and found us another pitch. We had booked hard standing and grass - out pitch was all grass (not a problem but not as described).

Nice quiet site,plenty of room on the camping field, good views from the top of the field,clean and adequate toilets and showers,good fishing on the top pool,the cafe is great for a breakfast,pleasant and helpful owner.

Lovely picturesque site , decent pitch , well kept

No reception , No signage to tell you where to book in , Cafe is massively understaffed as they deal with bookings, fishing , tackle purchases etc
Only one set of rubbish bins for the whole site !
Children fishing unattended with hired rod With no landing net or mat or means to unhook fish ! Cars driving too fast on the site , including the owner in a black Tiguan ! Toilets are pretty clean but showers have nowhere to hang clothes , nothing to keep anything off the floor to keep dry ,

Great spot to camp overnight or for a few days. Clean toilets and good shower. Feels like an "up market" camping spot. We didn't fish but it looked fun!
We didn't have breakfast at the cafe but it looked and smelled amazing.

Bare in mind the phone signal is a bit wobbly by the cafe.

Everything, 5th time visiting and never fails to impress.
Site owners keep it exceptionally clean and superbly maintained
