The cafe and surroundings are stunning. We walked up the mountain and there were trails for hill runners walkers cyclists and horse riders all signposted well.
The location was perfect for exploring North Wales. The shower facilities were warm, clean and the showers were lovely and hot in this chilly weather. We fished excellent supply from the fishing tackle shop and rod hire for all, the lakes have course, fly, worm, and puddle fishing as my partner says . Well stocked lakes and they cure their own trout for sale. Breakfast was smoked trout and scrambled eggs yummy! Full English with two slices of toast £9.95 bargain to set yourself up for the day! Yummy coffee served homemade cakes, scones and warm filling lunches all very reasonably priced. The pitch was good and in the middle of grass areas lovely walks around with the dogs and are undulating scenario. The welcome was warm friendly and made you feel at ease. We broke down so had to stay an extra couple of days! The family were so helpful and looked after us well. We will be back.

Off the main road which meant we could hear some traffic at night. It did not deter from the general peacefulness.

It was a lovely campsite set in beautiful surroundings. Coarse and fly fishing pools on site. Whole site is Very well kept. Host is so friendly and helpful. Food in the cafe is lovely and used local ingredients.

Showers and toilets location even caught a couple of trout. Good weekend all round will be back.

Entrance is a bit challenging for larger motorhomes looked like the October rain had washed part of the gravel away.

Lovely site, really enjoyed our couple of days there. Pitch is lovely overlooking the fishing lake. The facilities (shower and toilets) are absolutely spotless clean. Had two breakfasts at the cafe while we was there and enjoyed them both, really delicious. The owners are so helpful and really lovely people. 100% visit again and would highly recommend it to people :)

The place itself was beautiful with rabbits in abundance. The cafe was lovely as were the staff and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. It was a convenient base to travel to many major towns and cities and for walking etc.

We pitched on a hardcore pitch in a little hollow just past the shower/toilet block. The hardcore was way off level and once the rest of the area filled with motorhomes we had a big job turning our caravan through 90 degrees in order to re-hitch. Its not very well thought out.
I intended to do some fishing but after 2.1/2 hours on one day on thetop coarse lake with no bites and not even seeing any fish break the surface, I gave up and didn't fish again. Others may have been luckier but at least two guys said the same about the trout lakes.
The Elsan disposal box doesn't have a flushing system so it totally stinks when opened.
WiFi was virtually non existent.
