-family had no electric both nights of their stay and when they complained they were asked to leave the site! Site has been reduced to 10amp and the section they were in looked freshly dug lines and they had plugged in a camping heater and so were actually blamed by the lady who did contact an electrician.
I have seen these reviews back to 2021 and it appears they have had continual issues with site space, dirty toilets and showers, hot water and poor customer service and the owners apparently don’t need to address this because people are still booking….
We won’t be back.
Thank your review i am so sorry you did not have a nice time at Boat Lane. However as i always say unless you some and address a problem with me I cant sort it out for you. When you arrived you were not happy with two pitches i found you one where you had at least 5-6m between units if not more. infact in one of our reviews you can see your tent straight ahead behind a motorhome. plenty of room
We are completely aware that our facilities are now rather outdated and need a compete overhall, and we are looking into it.
There was no water on one day as you were right in pointing that out however i did explain that it is a kettle boiler and once the water has drained it takes a whike to sort out. on this occasion someone had actually turned it down. and as the review below states there was hot water the following day,
you are absolutely right i do not work here I live here and help out so to attack me like you did was not acceptable. At 45 years old i should hope i am not too old to help out.
We had problems with one loop of electric, where we had placed a group of 6 people as they wanted to be together and twice at around 10.30pm at night it went of two nights in succession, first time we called out the electrician and he could not fine an issue and it is early in the season so people do use heaters and not alway camping grade ones, and not once did i actually ask him. The hook up you were using Katie Smith are all10amp, all the new ones they were on were16amp
.The gentleman did not inform us untll morning on the 2nd night that there was no electric again and expected me to know this..... not sure how unless i am told. The gentleman in question then proceeded for 1/2 an hour to verbally abuse me, the same gentleman i asked twice not to smoke pot on our site as we are not tollerant to drugs. the point another kind customer stepped in to aid me. At the point were the getleman told me to F>>>>off three times and it was at this the point i asked him to leave. And guess what the electric was fine that night.
All of the people who were effected received all their electric hook up money back. And two have re booked with us.
Katy before you go making accusations it really is important to get all your facts absolutely correct,

sorry you did not enjoy your stay, we are a basic site and there were an awful lot of dogs this weekend due to there being a large dog show in the area. However we cannot be held responsible for irresponsible dog owners. We have many dog bins around the site and would hope that people clear up after their dogs. Again i have said this many times before unless this is bought to our attention whilst you are on site then we cannot do anything about it. If there had been mess and we had been informed then we would have come over and cleaned it up.

Hi, thank you for your review. Could you let me know where you were on site so we can check which hook up you were using please. you know how to email us as we send confirmations. Unless you let us know i can sort the electric out or advise as the older part of the site is only 10amp. We did address the boiler issue, we found that people kept turning it right down.
