Download Festival

It’s all about heavy rock and metal music at Download Festival. Expect to see international icons like Iron Maiden, Metallica and Black Sabbath, as well as the latest acts on the underground scene. And if you’d like a break from the moshpit, you can watch comedy shows at the Side Splitter Stage or jaw-dropping stunts at the Circus of Horrors.

Set at the meeting point between Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire, the event in Donington Park is well located. If you’d prefer a quieter night’s sleep, this means it’s easy to stay at one of the campsites near Download Festival rather than at the raucous venue.

Another bonus? You can pitch up at places as diverse as biker pubs, alpaca farms and vineyards to put even more of a memorable twist on your escapade.
