Domaine Les Mûriers

The nearby beach is a handy 15-minute walk away down a sandy pathway: go here for safe seaside family days, as the sand slopes gently down into the water to provide tinier ones with a safe spot to splash. Cap d'Agde, a little over half an hour’s drive away, is a kids' paradise, with amusement parks including the waterpark Aqualand and the rides of Luna Park. There's an aquarium here too; for grownup times, make for the casino, golf course or any of the many beach bars. For days out of a more cultured nature, more than 50 museums are in the Hérault department, or you can check out the local natural history with a delve underground at the 24 caves of Clamouse. The guided tours there cover almost a kilometre and showcase the science of the subterranean world through ambles around huge galleries hewn by the underground river and the caves’ labyrinth.
